  1. What a delightful reading. I was leaning into my computer as I listened to the story. Wow! She did an excellent joy of narrating. I own all the books in the ‘Quill Collective’ series and if I win the Amazon Gift Card, I plan to purchase other books in the Q&Q Publishing line up. Thanks to Meredith for hosting [hello to your Mr. Bingley]. Thanks to Elizabeth for taking the time to read for us. Also, thanks to Q&Q Publishing for the generous giveaway. Good luck to all in the drawing. Blessing to everyone, don’t forget to wear your masks, stay safe, and healthy.

    1. JW Garrett, Elizabeth Grace is a fabulous narrator—and I loved working with her! She is as lovely and charming as she appears in the video. I am glad you enjoyed her reading and all the anthologies by my little company, The Quill Ink.

To clarify, I’ve only published the five anthologies in the “Quill Collective” series under my own banner, The Quill Ink, LLC. Q&Q, Quills &Quartos Publishing, is not my publishing house; it is owned by authors Amy D’Orazio and Jan Ashton. Further, I did edit two of their new publications this year, Jenetta James’s recent “The Memory House” and Kay Bea’s “Love Unsought”. It’s an easy mistake with “Quill” in both companies’ names and maybe because I have previously edited a few of their authors in my anthologies (including Amy D, KaraLynn Mackrory, Jessie Lewis). Hope that helps!

      1. Thank you so much J.W Garret for the lovely response to this video. It was a joy to record it and I’m so glad you liked it.

You’re right, these anthologies are great, such a talented bunch! Amazon gift card well spent if you ask me.

      2. Thanks for clarifying, Christina. My bad. However… I am so glad to know you are behind The Quill Ink. Blessings my dear. I’ll try to keep that clear in the future. No worries.

  2. I am beyond honored and thrilled to have the very talented Elizabeth Grace read my story! She gives voice to these characters we all love so beautifully, and oh, her Darcy and Elizabeth! I love those voices of hers so much. Many, many thanks, Elizabeth! Thanks also to you, Meredith, for hosting this giveaway! And I can never say thank you often enough to Christina Boyd for her stellar work as an editor and author.

    1. An absolute joy to read over and over again, I love to narrate good bicker! This story is so simple and so effective. I knew immediately how to position the two characters and where they had come from – thank you for writing it.

  3. Elizabeth Grace is a wonderful. She brings the story to life beautifully. I love these collective series. Thank you for hosting the giveaway and for sharing Ms. Grace’s talents.

  4. Thanks for sharing that. I have read that anthology but am always open to Audible copies as I listen to those while walking. Thanks for a chance to win.

  5. Hand to heart, I am so joyous this anthology is available in audio very soon. I so loved reading this book of stories. Christina Boyd did us all a very lovely favor, bringing these talented writers together. Elizabeth Grace’s narration is just gorgeous. Such a voice! It’s delicious, I hope this means we will hear more of her narration for JAFF in the future.

Thank you Ladies, Meredith for hosting, Christina B. for bringing us all these great anthologies over the years, Christina M. for such a turbulent story (I had my heart in my throat through this one!) and Elizabeth for her narration. Best of luck on this audio launch.

  6. Elizabeth Grace’s narration is wonderful! I really loved the anthology, and yes, it does feel like a very long time ago.

    1. I feel like all of us have been on a non-stop marathon during these Strange Days…and the book release seems a lifetime ago. I am thrilled that the audiobook will be available August 31–a bright spot for me in this topsy-turvy world.

    1. Thank you so much Beau North, the anthology was so lovely to narrate. I was impressed with these short stories, they are all so well crafted and engaging. What an honour to be given the opportunity to bring them to life.

    2. I can’t wait for listeners to hear how she performs your Love in Limelight! She’s multi-talented.

  7. An amazing reading, a wonderful story! Can’t wait for you all to hear all the Elizabeth stories 🙂

    1. I loved so many of her voices in the anthology–quite varied given the scope of the project–but her Professor De Bourgh in your “Resistive Currents” is a favorite of mine.

    1. Xena Anne, thanks for stopping by. Hope you will give the anthology a read or listen! We’ve received a lot of positive response. I’m quite proud of the authors’ work and this narrator’s performance.

  8. Lovely reading, Elizabeth. I have not read this anthology, but after listening to you read, I now wish to do so. Thank you for the giveaway.

    1. Thank you–I think Elizabeth Grace does a remarkable job throughout. I really like the sound of her voice.

    2. That’s what we like to hear, Mary! If you do decide to purchase the audiobook I really hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed narrating it, there are some real corkers in there.

  9. Denise, I can’t recommend her enough. I’ve listened to the all the stories MANY times through and at various stages, and I still enjoy it! Ha!

  10. Brava, Elizabeth! That was a spot-on performance of Christina’s emotive story. I look forward to the chapter’s continuation and to your other OHG blog tour stops.
Thanks, Meredith, for spotlighting Elizabeth Grace’s remarkable talent and the anthology’s upcoming audiobook release.

    1. Joanne, I can’t wait for you to hear her read your “The Age of Nescience”—I especially love her character portrayal of Mr and Mrs Bennet. Spot on! Lydia too!

  11. Delightful. I’ve read the book, but would so enjoy listening to it as well.

Audiobooks are becoming more and more popular, and it’s because of a lovely narration like this. Thank you, Elizabeth Grace.

    1. Lilyane! Such a lovely comment, thank you. I hope you will enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed recording it. Audiobooks are a great way to indulge in a book while your hands are busy with other things like travelling or crafting – I like to listen while I knit! I haven’t tried them but I believe there are apps now that allow you to read on your kindle, then pick up where you left off on audio – amazing tech.

    2. I find I love ebooks when I am running errands or doing tedious tasks like folding laundry or weeding. Makes it seem not like a chore. Equally, some narrators can ruin a story for me. However, Elizabeth Grace brought so much to the collection of stories with her remarkable storytelling performance. We were lucky to work with her!

    1. Do it, Mary! Its always nice to find new ways of absorbing literature and I believe Audible give you some free credits when you sign up so you can try it out to see if its for you.

  12. Wow, Elizabeth Grace! I was immediately engrossed in her exciting narration. And Christina Morland’s “Atmospheric Disturbances” is a breathtakingly emotional story that has stuck in my mind to this day. In it, Darcy and Elizabeth’s love…. transcends. I’m at a loss to describe it any other way. Elizabeth Grace’s reading is capturing those high feelings just as I’ve imagined. All of the stories in this anthology quickly became dear to me. I can’t wait to experience them again in audio!

    1. Thank you so much for your lovely words, Deborah. You are right, it does transcend – much like Elizabeth’s character. It was so fun to read about her in all the various scenarios in OHG. I hope you love the audio book!

  13. It was a most fabulous excerpt! Thank you for bringing your lovely voice to this reading. It tugged at my heart a bit, I must admit, and I cannot wait for part 2 of the reading.

  14. Such a great voice! Elizabeth Grace brings each story to life so beautifully! Fabulous call, Christina!!

Thanks for hosting the blog tour kick-off, Meredith! Please don’t enter me in the giveaway. I just popped by to leave some love for #EOHG and Elizabeth’s production. Lots of hugs and have a lovely end of summer!

    1. Thank you Danielle, you are so right! I can at least back track and pick up on the audio book itself but a straight reading is always trickier. I should upload a blooper reel at some point of my restarts!

  15. Elizabeth Grace is captivating. Really enjoyed listening to her!! Would love to get/buythe book if I am lucky. Fingers crossed!!

  16. Thank you Elizabeth. What a delightful read. It makes me want to go back and re-read the book. Again 🙂

Yet another on my must buy list (it is a long list – and it just got quite a bit longer as I hunt down books ready by you)

    Lynley
