Welcome

Greetings and Welcome to Austenesque Reviews!

My bookcase in 2009

Austenesque Reviews was founded in 2009 as a blog devoted to the reading and reviewing the hordes of Austenesque novels that are recently published, as well as the ones that were published years ago.  Sequels, variations, modern adaptations, retellings – the Austenesque genre has become quite prolific in the last six years!

Is it just reviews?

No!  I love having authors come visit and share posts, excerpts and interviews!  I also have a fondness for making lists, which you will see here, here, and….here!  My aim is for this blog to prove helpful and useful for the many avid readers of Jane Austen and Austenesque novels. I love connecting with readers and authors over our shared admiration and love of Jane Austen, so please feel free to comment, discuss, ask, and have your “share of the conversation!”

FullSizeRenderIf you are an author, publisher, or publicist and would like to have your book reviewed on Austenesque Reviews, hop on over to the REVIEW REQUESTS page and read the pertinent details there.

Thank you for visiting and I hope you come again soon!!!

  1. Hi Meredith!! I want to thank you for this amazing site, especially the monthly lists of new books which have allowed me to find amazing books to read! I’m looking for help, do you or any of readers of this site remember a modern P&P variation with our dear Lizzie being a single mom of a teenage boy (the dad was an exchange student from Australia??), Lizzie is a doctor and Darcy a single dad of a teenage daughter, was married to Caroline who was a model. ODC meet at Richard’s holiday resort somewhere in Spain (?) and later again in London. Lizzie’s son plays football after school and Darcy’s daughter is in a private all girl school. I’d love to read this again but can’t find it amongst my hundreds of books… Thank you and have a ein wonderful summer!
