MY THOUGHTS:
A festive Elizabeth and Darcy holiday romance by Abigail Reynolds? Santa must know Austenesque readers have been very good this year! 😉
There are so many lovely moments in this novella. I love the meet cute between Elizabeth and Georgiana and how their relationship develops. As we might imagine, Elizabeth brings cheer, comfort, and confidence to Georgiana while providing sisterly sympathy and gentle guidance. I adored their relationship and witnessing their fun together – their playful names for each other and jokes about pig dung! But even more so, I loved witnessing Georgiana’s big set-down moment and also her special relationship with Margaret Gardiner.
But before you think this book is all about Georgiana…let me just mention that the romance between Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth is swoony and sweet. I love seeing the evolution of Elizabeth’s opinion of Mr. Darcy. How she is quick to understand she misjudged him and feel some attraction towards him. And it was absolutely delightful to see Mr. Darcy happily follow his heart and pursue Elizabeth…even after she left Longbourn. With his tender looks, private yearnings, and affable interactions with the Gardiner family – it is no wonder that Elizabeth becomes completely enamored.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
😘 A delightful Pride and Prejudice variation full of good cheer, generosity of spirit, and great kisses.
✅ Mr. Darcy, mistletoe, memorable moments – sounds like everything on our wishlists…
🎄 Abigail, can we make this a series where we see what other matches and mischief this magical mistletoe causes?

Oh yes, this sounds like a must for me.
A perfect Christmas romantic story! Low angst it seems which is a plus!
I loved this book its really really good.

Thanks for the review, Meredith, it sounds so sweet and fun for enjoying these days!
And Darcy and mistletoe… these two words together make magic 😉
I join your idea of asking Abigail for more mistletoe stories about the remainding characters… perhaps next year?? LOL
A big hug,
I love Abigail’s stories and this will certainly be a “must read’ for me.
