Austenesque Agenda – March 2021

Happy Monday, friends! I hope you enjoyed a beautiful weekend. 🥰

I didn’t see any snow in my neck of the woods this month. I did see plenty of rain (and on those days I was happy to stay inside and blog and watch things shows like Ted Lasso (3x) and Bridgeton (2x)).

But on days when the sun came out, I trekked outside to see some winter views…

of the ocean,

the sun,

and some hiking trails.

What kind of weather did you have in February and what kind of activities did you enjoy doing?

  1. Gorgeous photos! We had a ton of snow…26.3 one time and 4.6 another with other amounts besides. Just got through a rainy period with flood warnings. Hoping to see temperatures high enough that I can walk outside for a change from my treadmill. My son’s birthday is today…37 years ago. Stay safe, everyone. I get my second Moderna vaccine on Thursday – hooray!

  2. I’m always impressed with your lovely photos Meredith! I’ve had to isolate so haven’t done anything exciting in February although the weather hasn’t been too bad, I’m hoping for better things in March and I’m looking forward to your many interviews and reviews.

    1. Thanks, Glynis. I’m afraid they may all start looking the same at this point.

I’m hoping you get warmer weather and more activity in March too!

  3. Hi Meredith,
    Such a wonderful landscapes!!
It seems Spring has come to North Carolina 😉
Today in Madrid it´s grey and rainy but last saturday was a beautiful and warm day so I hope the weather begins to improve a bit and Easter is sunny and bright although we can´t travel.
Your March agenda looks so interesting! I´m looking forward to “Outmatched”.
    Happy March to everyone!

    1. Thank you, sweet friend! It is coming I think (the temps are going up and down a lot at the moment!) One day it feels like beach weather and another it feels like winter!

Hope your March is off to a great start!

  4. Lovely post today on this first day of March. Here in south-central KY, we have had the 5th wettest Feb and yesterday was the wettest day in Feb EVER. Some areas had upwards of 5-inches of rain. So, we are staying in due to flooding and ponding on roads. We are just glad it wasn’t snow. Looks like you have a fabulous lineup for us, Meredith. I look forward to these posts, stay safe, and healthy.

    1. Thanks, Jeanne. Oh my goodness! I hope you are safe and able to get around where you need to! That sounds like some crazy torrential rain!

  5. Gorgeous winter views for you there. I enjoyed a few on your reading pile and look forward to the visits. In the middle of reading Christina’s right now. Have a great March, Meredith!

  6. To echo what others have said, what gorgeous photos, Meredith! Here in Western Mass we’ve entered mud season as the snow melts, freezes over, and then melts again. 🙂 Mud has its own sort of beauty, I suppose (nothing to match the landscapes you featured) — and of course, I always think of Elizabeth Bennet’s hemlines when I go tromping through the mud, so I don’t mind it quite so much. 😉 Honored to be part of this month’s line up! Happy March to everyone.

    1. Thanks, Christina! Ugh- mud! That would definitely not be fun to walk around in! I am glad you are able to find some beauty in it! Lol! How fun to channel Elizabeth!

I’m very excited for your visit, Christina!

  7. In the middle of February, my part of Kentucky was blessed with enough snow for snow angels and snowballs…but previously cursed with enough ice to cause horrible accidents in the region. My work load increased toward the end of the month, and I was exhausted afterwards. I have had a horrendous slump of reading, writing, and all other good things. I cannot even concentrate enough to watch period dramas. This kind of slump usually breaks around March, so I am looking forward to it.

    1. Good for the snow (and the fun you can have in it!) but bad for the ice! Sadly, I know a little about what you are talking about with the concentration…I hope your slump ends this month!

  8. Oh my goodness, your photos are amazing!!
So glad you didn’t get the freezing temperatures, and that you had a nice and cosy time.
Looking forward to the March posts. Take care, and have a lovely spring!

  9. Great pictures! Love your line-up of guests and looking forward to each and every one of them!!
