~ Narrator Biography ~

Harry Frost is an English voice actor specialising in audiobook narration and production. He’s passionate about the power of the audio medium to bring literature to life in every sense of that phrase; to reconnect writing to the spoken tradition it never really escaped, and to turn books into true companions for life as it is lived, rather than things one must escape the world and defer responsibility to read. His studio is in rural Leicestershire, he has recently found an unlikely love of Economics, and he makes a really good Manhattan. 1. I thank you for the heads-up! Just added Yuletide to my Audible library. Here is a happy reminder: if you are an Audible member and you already own the Kindle version of this book, you can save a full credit and purchase it for $7.49. Yay!!

    1. Thank you, Beverly. Over the last year and a half, I have become quite a fan of audiobooks because they allow me to pass the time in an enjoyable manner while doing tedious tasks like laundry or on long drives. But I think Yuletide will make a wonderful way to entertain while decorating for the holidays too! And thanks for mentioning that discount if you already own the kindle version—I always forget those details.
Hope you and yours have a blessed holiday season!

  2. I think that Harry Frost is a fabulous narrator. I have heard him narrate a previous anthology and am thrilled that he is narrating this one. Thank you for the excerpts and giveaway.

  3. As you know, I don’t have audiobooks! But I do have this and I plan to re read it over Christmas .
I love your magazine covers Christina, I don’t buy magazines bit I would surely be tempted by yours.

    1. Laurel Ann, thank you for your kind review last year — so glad you approve of our voice actor, Harry Frost too. We were quite fortunate to work with him again for this audiobook, especially as I understand he is now booked well into the new year. He’s such a pro!

    2. Thanks so much for checking out this post! I’m really glad to hear you enjoyed this lovely anthology – and I agree about the narrator’s voice! A terrific match!

  4. What a festive book this promises to be. Great to listen to when on the road, or cosy at night by candlelight. Can’t wait to hear more about it 🙂

    1. Denise, and he’s such a dream to work with. Harry is dependable and professional and always game to try something new. He surprised us with the many characters he performed in this collection.

  5. Meredith, thank you so much for always being generous and enthusiastic in your support of our book and all things Jane Austen. So appreciative when you shine your light on projects dear to us. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and start to this holiday season.

    1. Thank YOU, Christina, for all the fabulous anthologies you have gifted readers with! They all are fabulous and I am so happy that these books exist in the Austenesque genre!

Wishing you and yours a very happy Thanksgiving!

  6. Oh yes, good call for Yuletide going alongside Christmas tasks, Meredith. Loved it and listened through twice.

That mag cover is a riot. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Sophia for kind words! For your audible review too. That magazine cover was kinda tricky because I knew all along I wanted to tie it to this anthology but not obviously so—only those who read or have heard it would recognize the added meaning. And for those that haven’t read or heard it yet, I was hoping they might still see the Regency inspiration and nods to JAFF.

  7. I like the samples. I’ll have to get this one. Hadn’t heard about this book before. I have an Austen anthology on Audible but don’t know if he’s the narrator. I listen to audiobooks while sitting and relaxing. I color, play games on my tablet, or eat.

    1. I too love to be able to do little tasks while listening to an audiobook. So glad you enjoyed the samples. I think Harry Frost is such a talented narrator! With the many characters in an anthology, he was fabulous giving nuance to each while maintaining their continuity throughout the various stories (is. Lady Catherine is same through different stories…Tricky with a cast of many.)

  8. There’s nothing as peaceful as snuggling under a warm blanket in front of a fire with a cup o’ tea and a fun audiobook to listen to, especially in the wonderful resting time between Christmas and New Year’s!! This one looks like the perfect choice!! Thank you for sharing the excerpts and adding delight to our holy days! 😀

    Warmly,
    Susanne 🙂

  9. Just stopping by to say I loved both the e-book and audiobook! (No need to enter me in the drawings.) This book was such a delightful way (both last year and this one) to get into the holiday spirit!

  10. Being from the UK, Thanksgiving isn’t a holiday we celebrate over here, though Black Friday does seem to have become ‘a thing’ when it comes to the retail sector! Even so, I can’t get my head around Christmas until 1st December, as it’s our son’s birthday on 30th November.

I’m so looking forward to listening to Harry Frost’s performance of the stories in the Yuketide anthology, but as I say, it’ll be Sunday at the earliest before I start to listen and more likely the 4th, as that’s my first commute of the month. If I reserve it just for my commutes, it’ll see me nearly all the way to Christmas.

Wishing a Happy Thanksgiving to all of my friends across the pond.

  11. Great and entertaining excerpt. thank you for sharing. His voice is so engaging. Looking forward to reading/listening.

  12. I’ve enjoyed Yuletide many times over since I purchased the e-book last year. The magazine cover is a hoot!! These samples of the new audio are wonderful and so nice to have them all so handily offered by this great post. I’ve just grabbed my own audiobook. The heads up of Amazon’s discount from a previous post was much appreciated too 🙂 Thank you and the talented authors for many hours of enjoyment at the holidays and year round!

  13. So many of the Audible books I have listened to have been narrated by women. They are great but I would love to hear this one by a male narrator. I like to listen to books while taking my daily walk up and down all the grocery store aisles twice. It gets me out of the house and I usually meet someone I know so I get in a little socializing. (I also use my treadmill daily 40 minutes.) Thanks for a chance to win – the selections look very interesting and as I have read some of the authors’ other stories, I am sure it is so.

  14. First. Christina, your magazines are such a hoot! Every time I see a new one I think, ‘oh I hope she does more!” So much fun.

Mr Frost has a great voice. I just finished reading the collection for the first time, I got it last year during the promo but Christmas was coming to an end I was moving on. My only complaint would be, too short! 😀 I hope you’ll consider another one. Anyway, I knew the audio was coming so I wanted to be sure I read the anthology first. Can’t wait to get this. The excerpts were so enticing. Great job Meredith.

  15. It’s a wrap for our mini-audio blog tour. Thank you to the bloggers and tour followers who helped make it a success. We are so inspired by all who continue to support “YULETIDE: A Jane Austen-inspired Collection of Stories”. ❤️❤️ #YuleLoveIt
