A list for readers who love compilations and collections!
I have been such a fan of all the anthologies published these past couple of years. I love reading several different stories in one book – the different themes authors and editors adopt, and the overall creativity and variety. I was surprised to find many more anthologies than the ones I’ve read! This list has a great assortment and I want to read them all!!!

Yes and thanks for such a great review. I wasn’t lucky enough to win so bought the trilogy and loved it I do have a few anthologies and box sets off this list but I especially love a good long story (which is why I am currently reading Imperative by Linda Wells for the millionth time
I love anthologies! Though I’m not a fan of short stories I have to admit that the collections “Holidays with Jane” gave me the chance to appreciate some lovely stories. Thanks for this guide! I’ll definitely add some titles to my list! 😉
Absolutely, Maria! I was the same as you – I thought short stories nice and pleasing, but always too short! But I really have grown to love anthologies since it is a collection of many stories and the overall work is big and satisfying!

What a great list! Who knew there were so many anthologies out there? Weren’t there also two that came out of the Chawton House Library short story writing competition that you reviewed last year? Those sounded very intriguing to me–what a shame the Chawton House Library folks don’t seem to be planning any more.
I know, right? I’m all for anthologies! There are 3 all together from Chawton House – Dancing with Mr. Darcy, Wooing Mr. Wickham, and Beguiling Miss Bennet. I hope they do more, it looks like they’ve waited a year or more in between each, so I’m hoping that we wills see another!
‘In vain have I struggled, this will not do’——–I cannot find any sequels to Mansfield Park!!!! I would love to find out what happened to everyone but no joy.

Not too many sequels (at least not recently), but maybe some of the old ones end happily. I own Mansfield Letters and Ladysmead but haven’t read them yet!
Read 9 and partially read 4 of them, but I think I have another six on shelves to read and a handful more on my wish list.
So yes, I’d say I enjoy boxed sets and anthologies. LOL I don’t really have favorites as some are so different that it’s hard to compare (some are a series and some are separate stories by the same author while others are separate stories by different authors). I tend to like all of them either b/c it’s a favorite author or an intro to a new author.

I have read maybe a half dozen anthologies but WOW – I didn’t realize that there were so many. I also didn’t realize how many there are which seem to lean towards the erotic side if I judge by the titles. Thank you for all your hard work compiling this list (along with all your others).
