  1. Wouldn’t let me post my answers to Fenella’s quiz, so I thought I’d do it here?
The first question is tough, so I have to go by what I’ve seen:
P&P six versions of which the 1995 miniseries is the gold standard.
S&S one film and two miniseries
Emma two films and one miniseries
    Mansfield Park three
    Northanger Abbey three
Persuaion three, with the Amana Root/Ciaran Hinds version being the best

    2. Clueless, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Bride And Prejudice

    3. Lady Susan, Love And Friendship, her History of England (parts of The Watsons and Sandition)

  2. I can’t wait till this evening when I can take a look at the other stops on this little journey. Jess and I are super excited about Dear Jane–it should be a fantastic new way for lovers of Austenesque books to connect with one another.

  3. The Jane Austen Made Me Do It website is lovely! I’m very much looking forward to all the short stories, as Austen fiction is so full of surprises (and old favorites). For some reason, I had trouble commenting, though…

Off to check the other sites.

  4. What a lovely trip! I love the idea of being a Dear Jane penpal, and I am excited to read JAMMDI in October. (BTW, I was able to post a comment there so hopefully the issue has been resolved.) Also looking forward to seeing what man captures Miss Darcy’s heart (and passes her brother’s inspection lol) and reading Jane and Bingley’s story.

  5. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of today’s travels, Meredith. It has been a blast! My interview with Miss Darcy will remain up forever with the ARC giveaway going on until August 31, so keep on visiting everyone!

  6. Thanks Meredith for inviting me to participate in Traveling Tuesday during your wonderful Austenesque Extravaganza. My apologies to all who tried to leave comments on the new JAMMDI blog post earlier in the day. The problem has been resolved, so I hope you will visit again and express your opinions of the new site and read the author bios and story summaries.

    Cheers, Laurel Ann

  7. Fun travels.
Definitely looking forward to Jane Austen Made Me Do It.
I wasn’t able to post on Ms. Miller’s blog either. So:

Wow there have been a lot of different film/TV versions of Jane Austen’s work out there.

    S&S: At least 5 versions
    P&P: At least 10
    Mansfield Park: At least 3
    Emma: At least 8
    Northanger Abbey: At least 2
    Persuasion: At least 4

    2. Bride and Prejudice, Pride and Prejudice (A Latter Day Comedy), Lost In Austen

    3. Lady Susan, Love and Freindship, Catharine, or the Bower

    Yay! I love quizzes!

    One more Traveling Tuesday left!

  8. I loved the sites. I don’t have Fenella’s book yet and I’ve so longed to read it. I read Laurel Ann’s austenprose regularly. I really enjoyed Indie Jane’s letterwriting idea. I couldn’t get Sharon’s to come up for me..Great travel. I answered Fenella’s but then my stupid computer erased when I hit enter – it’s the whole anonymous/vs google vs. wordpress thing you know. I’ll get it right some day. aw well Suzan

  9. Great travels posted here!

I cannot wait to start the Pen Pal project through Indie Jane.

Also, it’s so nice to have a synopsis of each of the short stories in Jane Austen Made Me Do It!

  10. I found out about this extravaganza from Laurelann’s Austenprose and have been soaking it up for the past hours! comes back full circle since the tour links to her website today! thanks!
