Austenesque Agenda – April 2024

Hi readers! I hope your April is off to a great start! Mine is!

How was your March? Did it fly by for you too?

In addition to lots of work tasks, Fezzik outings, and enjoying spring flowers everywhere I can find them, my mom and I went on a girls trip to San Francisco/Napa/Sonoma! 🌉

We caught an epic sunrise at the Golden Gate Bridge. 🌅

Saw some redwoods! 🌲

And tasted lots of wine! 🍷

How about you?

  1. What a lovely time you’ve been having! Great photos, love the Redwoods!
I just finished reading The Couch/Cad/Cut Direct yesterday and it was very entertaining, I think you’ll enjoy it. A lot less angst than I typically expect from Jesse Lewis which was a much welcomed surprise! I can’t wait to read some of the other titles on your list, it’s going to be a great month! Happy Spring everyone! Thanks Meredith as always for hosting such a great blog space!

  2. Great photos as always. What a wonderful trip. I’m loving the books and authors you have this month. I’ve just won a copy of The Cad, The Couch And The Cut Direct and look forward to reading that when I’ve finished the second book of Cat Gardiner’s Flying With Swallows.
I didn’t do anything special last month apart from a visit from my son, his wife and their twins for Mother’s Day and that was special!

  3. Meredith, I loved seeing your photos of your girls’ trip, but the photos of you with your mom are my favorites – what a wonderful time you both had together, and such a lovely place to see! I was in Savannah visiting my daughter at college two weeks ago. Being able to see her face in person and to hug the heck out of her was the best feeling in the entire world. Have a wonderful, happy April! 🙂

  4. I just finished the ARC for Crossroads two days ago and it is wonderful! MJ Stratton is one of my favorite authors because of she gets into the mind of secondary characters and makes them live. I truly began to care about Mary King in her story. I know you’ll enjoy it!

  5. Lovely pictures, Meredith! I have done the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley wine tastings. It must have been lovely doing with your mom! Looking forward to your reviews and to your visitors! Happy April.

  6. Your photos are fabulous! What a great trip to take, you are so blessed to have your mom and be able to do these things with her. What lovely memories you are creating to look back on.

We’re expecting company this month, next week in fact. Our son and daughter-in-law will be here for a way too short a visit! It’s been too long since we’ve seen them so we’re all really excited.

Great agenda. As usual. Looking forward to the author visits very much.

  7. At first sight, I knew it was the Golden Gate. A great pic!
    And the awsome redwoods!
Your agenda sounds promising, as always, and I’m curious about M J Stratton’s collection of stories as well as “Brentwood’s ward” and the new mash-up of Jayne Bamber.
I wish you a bunch of good readings 🙂

  8. Love the photos, they’re absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing them with us. Looks like you had such a great time!
I hope you’ve planned many more lovely trips. Have lots of fun, and have a wonderful spring!

  9. You always have such lovely photos. Nice that you could take a trip with your mom. I have read four of the books you plan to read and am in the midst of a fifth one. Just now sitting through the eclipse as I don’t want to endanger my eyes.
