Austenesque Agenda – October 2023

Hi sweet friends! How was your September?

Mine was full with a lot of activity.

In addition to it being the month of our Blogiversary… 🥳

It is also the beginning of the season we call ‘local summer,’ and I stayed busy doing all the summery things you can find in our beautiful town! ☀️

I took walks at my favorite haunts. 🌳

Went to the beach as often as could. 🌊

Took Fezzik on his first canoe ride! 🛶

And went on a cemetery tour and a Ghost Walk (getting ready for the spooky season!) 🪦
isn’t this night-mode shot so cool? It looks like a painting!

Did you do any local summer activities last month or are you already embracing Autumn fun?

  1. Lovely activities you got up to. Looks like a fun reading stack and author visit schedule.

    Happy October, Meredith!

  2. Hi Meredith,
I’ve never taken a canoe ride, it must be fun!
September is the Birthday Month in my family (including mine LOL) so I’ve been busy buying gifts and celebrating with my loved ones 😉
I think your choice of “Spells and Shadows” by Victoria Kincaid is the perfect reading for this magical and mysterious season. I’m interested in your opinion of this novel as you know I like fantasy variations 🙂
    Happy October!

  3. What a wonderful September you had…love your pictures! I have no idea where summer and September went this year! Congratulations on your 14th anniversary! Would be lost without it! Have a wonderful October and look forward to your line up!

  4. I’m definitely looking forward to your thoughts on the books and the author interviews. Love your photos as usual, what a fun time Fezzik has, oh and you as well, although I think I’d pass on the spooky tour. I used to like those and once went ghost hunting in Lyme Park with some friends, luckily we didn’t find any!

  5. Beautiful photo ‘s! I’m already enjoying autumn. Reading with a cup of tea, going for a walk in the eoods. Spotting mushrooms 🙂

  6. Local summer is the best! You and Fezzik have had much fun.
I’m quite interested in what you have to say about Scandalous Confessions – that one keeps catching my eye 🙂
