Austenesque Agenda – September 2023

Hi friends! Happy September!

Or as we call it in Wilmington – local summer! 🏖  (Imma hold onto summer as long as I can!)
How was your August? Mine was eventful because I went on back-to-back trips. 🧳
One trip was to Minneapolis, Minnesota with a friend for a weekend. ✈️

Very random, but she is trying to cross off all 50 states and has 5 left! 🗺

My favorite part of the trip was the Twins game! ⚾️

The other trip was to Salt Lake City, Utah with my cousin. ✈️
We are belatedly celebrating her graduating from nursing school with some adventures. 👩🏻‍⚕️

She was all about the horses – going on trail rides and seeing horses out in the wild. 🐴

And we also enjoyed a trip to Olympic Park and Park City. ⛷

What kind of fun did you get into in August? ☀️

  1. Thank you again for such great photos! The August weather here has been awful so I didn’t do much but I did go to the 7th birthday party of my twin grandsons (they had a play party before school finished for the holidays so this was just for me and their other grandparents) Typical, they go back to school this week and summer has arrived!
I’m so looking forward to your reviews this month Meredith.

  2. Wow, kudos for your friend to being down to five states in her travels. Yay for a trip to SLC and Park City! My folks live in the area so I enjoy each of my trips west.

Looks like you have a fun stack of books to read for September.

  3. We had a full and eventful august. Traveling from WA to CO via car. Friends, family, scenery. Family and places we hadn’t seen in 40 years. I got no reading done. your trips sound like fun. So glad you got away. How are you contending with storms on the east coast?

  4. In my little corner of south central KY, it hasn’t been too bad. The weather all around me, though, was crappy. It has been pretty hot, but not by the standards as experienced in the south west. Those poor people would relish my weather.

Travel while you are young, Meredith. When you are older it is so much harder. Enjoy life and see the sights. You will have fond memories when you can look back and say, been there, done that. Rather than saying, shoulda, coulda, woulda, didn’t. I wish I had.

You know, I have never read Heyer… no stone throwing please. I look forward to your reviews. Blessings, my dear.

  5. I really love your travel photos, Meredith. It’s so good to do this while you’re young…laying down all these memories for the future. We are too old to travel much now, but we cherish our memories, and we live vicariously through those we love who travel.

Great agenda! For once, I haven’t read any of these this time. All new. Great. And I’m really looking forward to your guest this month. Love that Mary Smythe has a new book.
