Austenesque Agenda – July 2023

Hi friends!

As many of you know, I was in some place new and fabulous last month – Portugal! 🇵🇹

And as many of you correctly guessed or assumed, I was visiting someone very special – Rita of From Pemberley to Milton! 💗

It was an incredible visit, filled with experiencing so many wonderful places and special moments. ✨
It is so hard to choose, but some of my favorite moments would be…
this sunset, 🌅

touring some palaces, 🏰

listening to fado music, 🎶

and talking nonstop with Rita – it seems like we will never run out of things to say to each other! 🥰
I am so eager to hear about your month!

  1. What lovely photos! You both obviously had an amazing time. I do hope Jane is able to see just how many friendships she has inspired. I see you have some great authors and books this month, I’m definitely looking forward to your thoughts. Enjoy!

  2. You look like you were having a wonderful time. Oh, I am so glad you were able to see Rita. Thanks for giving her a hug from us, her loyal followers. Excellent. I do love your photos. Thanks for sharing them with us. You have the right of it. Travel while you are young, my dear. It is harder when you are older. Enjoy your youth. Blessings.

  3. That is so fun that you got to go visit Rita. Yay for a good trip!

Looks like you have a nice stack of books to read and a great line up of guests.

    Have a great July, Meredith!

  4. Great that you were able to make that in-person connection. Photos are great – as usual. I have read four of the stories you have on your agenda so look forward to your reviews.

  5. I ate my way through Portugal many years ago, before JAFF. It’s wonderful. So great that you were able to connect with Rita. Fantastic books for this month!

  6. It’s just wonderful that you got to meet and travel with Rita. And you saw some amazing things.

Fantastic agenda for this month, I always enjoy seeing your reviews of books I’ve already read to find out how you felt about them compared to my feelings. But then, I always love the new books reviewed too. What a line-up of guests!!

  7. ❤️❤️❤️ So wonderful!! I’m so glad that you and Rita had such a fabulous time together. The photos are gorgeous and you look so happy! I only wish that you and Rita had the time to hop over the Channel too. One day, fingers crossed!

  8. Hi Meredith!! I’m so glad you enjoyed Portugal with Rita! And to think we were so close as Portugal is next to Spain!!
I love Portugal. I was some years ago in Lisboa, Sintra and other cites and, as you, I enjoyed the beautiful places and sights (the charming ancient buildings by the river Tajo), the food (the bacalao and the pasteis of Belem, delicious!), the fado and the people so gentle and nice!
As for your agenda, I’m looking forward to your opinion of “An appearance of goodness” and “The last house in Lambton”.
At the moment I’m reading “The Bennet affair” by Riana Everly and I love it!!
    Have fun in July!
    Un abrazo muy fuerte,
    Teresa
