Austenesque Agenda – April 2022

Greetings, friends! Happy April Fools! Are you pulling any pranks today? 😝

I hope your March was lovely! Mine was! I finally got in some more reading time. 📚

And I also had a lot of puppy time – many blog posts were written with one, two, or even three dogs around my lap. 😄
March is when we see a lot of trees and flowers begin to bloom in our area. 🌺
And I made a point to visit our local gardens as much as I could to enjoy their full bloom! 🌷
But I think the highlight of my month was going to Washington DC to meet Rita Deodato of From Pemberley to Milton in person for the first time! 🤗
We spent two great days together visiting spots around Washington DC, talking about JAFF, reading, Portugal, traveling, and so many other things! 🥰
I’m so happy for Rita and her husband that they got to finally take this trip, and also I’m so grateful that we got to share some wonderful time together! 💕

  1. what lovely pictures! Accusing Mr. Darcy and Death of a Dandy were excellent books and I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Many of the other ones I haven’t read yet. So should be great to learn about them more 🙂

  2. Fab photos as always! It was great that you could meet up with Rita and spend quality time together.
Some lovely books this month, I’ve read some and look forward to your thoughts on them. I’m also anticipating reading of the others.

    1. Thank you, dear Glynis! I’m so happy it finally happened! And I second Rita’s idea for us to meeting up in Pemberley!

I hope you are enjoying your reads this month!

  3. Lovely gardens and fun cozy time with the pups. So neat that you and Rita got to spend some travel time together in DC.

Nice line up of reading this month. I enjoyed that Monica Fairview and I’m currently reading Murder of Mr. Wickham.

    Have a great April!

    1. I think my USA road trips will start including friends from this community because all experiences have been incredible, everyone is always super nice and Meredith is 10 stars 🙂 I’m curious to see what you think of Murder of Mr. Wickham as that is the next book on my TBR 🙂

    2. Thank you, Sophia! It was such a great month for all those reasons!

I look forward to seeing what you think of The Murder of Mr. Wickham!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful April too!

  4. Great to see what you are doing in your life, Meredith. And so fun to read about your sharing of a trip to DC with Rita!

  5. Your trip to D.C. and getting to meet up with Rita sounds like such fun. Great pictures as usual. I just loved the photo of you with all the pups cuddled around you.

What a great lineup of book reviews and author visits. Lots to look forward to.

    1. It was, Michelle! It was so many things I loved at once – traveling, friends, Jane Austen!

They are the cutest trio ever – I’m so spoiled when I get to take care of them!

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful month!

  6. Happy April, Meredith. I just finished reading an ARC of Maria Bertram’s Daughter. OMG! I am really looking forward to your post. I had a profound dislike for Henry and Mary Crawford when I read MP. But NOW?!? Now… I loath hate and despise them. Wait until you see them as portrayed by Lucy Knight. OMG! I love your pictures and the dogs are so cute. Blessings, my dear. I and all your followers appreciate you so much. You are very special. I so glad Rita was able to visit with you. How special. Thanks for sharing your time together.

  7. How fun you shared some days with Rita! The Lincoln monument is overwhealming!
Your April agenda has many delightful options: Riana Everly, Heather Moll and I’m really curious about Mr Wickham’s murder because I guess everyone has reasons to kill him LOL
Have a warm and sweet April!

    1. It was so great, Teresa! Washington DC is such a fun place to visit.

You are so right about Mr. Wickham! Who doesn’t have a motive?

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful April!

  8. OMG what gorgeous photos! So beautiful! I’m so glad that you and Rita got to meet up & spend so much time together, and you look so cosy snuggled up with Fezzik. Lots of hugs, Meredith, and have a lovely spring! xx

  9. I’m super late to the party, but I had to stop by to let you know that meeting you in Washington D.C. was the highlight of my trip Meredith! It was so, so nice to spend a couple of days with you and to discover we have even more in common than we previously thought (and that was already a lot!).
I really hope we can meet again soon, either in Europe or in the US 🙂
I’ll finish by saying you are a brave girl! I would never be able to read so many pages in one month as you’re proposing to do this month! I seriously do not know how you do it 🙂
