There are 6️⃣0️⃣ new Austenesque releases for the month of January!
Such a fantastic way to start the year, isn’t it?
❄️ I have read 1️⃣ – The Heiress: The Revelations of Anne de Bourgh by Molly Greeley 🙌🏼
❄️ I am excited to have 4️⃣ books in my soon TBR pile – A Life Worth Choosing: A Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice Variation by Anngela Schroeder, Nine Ladies: A Pride and Prejudice Variation by Heather Moll, Fallen: A Pride & Prejudice Variation by Jessie Lewis, The Year in Between: A Sense and Sensibility Variation by Christina Morland! 😍
Wow how exciting. I received loads of books for Christmas all Pride & Prejudice variations so I have lots to read during the lockdown!
Isn’t it the best way to beat the lockdown blues? Happy reading!!
What a list, Meredith! I have been fortunate enough to have already read 3 of these, and I hope to get a chance to read A Fine Mind sometime soon.
That’s wonderful, Katie!! And great choice – I’m interested in that one too!
Question: there are many P&P variations, what about the other novels? Are there any authors doing variations for Persuasion, &S, Emma, Northanger Abbey etc? Thanks
I know how you feel, Char. It is always a small number that I see come out. This month it looks like just one S&S book – The Year in Between: A Sense and Sensibility Variation by Christina Morland.
WOW, January has had an amazing amount of releases!
I see with some “fear” that there are two books of Mr Collins!!! LOL, I think I’ll put my eyes on others 😉
I’m intrigued by Enid Wilson’s novel: “Mr Darcy’s chilling proposal, an italian intrigue ” italian? Does it mean the story sets in wonderful Italy? Besides the cover is beautiful although I don’t know this author.
I’m also curious by “The mistress of Rosings Park” by Regina Jeffers (I wonder if it refers to Anne de Bourgh).
And the “Queen of winter” by Alix James sounds really enigmatic and charming 🙂
Thanks for the list, Meredith, it’s really helpful!
Enjoy the weekend!
Lol! Yes, I wonder what befalls Mr. Collin in those stories…most of the time it isn’t good!
You picked out some interesting stories for sure, Teresa – I love the sound of a P&P taking place in Italy and the other titles are just as intriguing and promising!
Happy reading!
I read 6 of the first set of novels listed. Thank you for all your hard work putting these lists together. You are a gem!
Happy to do it, Sheila! That’s wonderful that you already started the year so strong!
I’ve got four of those to read/listen to and I’ve got my eye on one more. Whew! There were a lot of releases this month. I’ll never run out of new books to read. Thanks, Meredith!
Awesome, Sophia! I hope you enjoy those 4 and get the chance to check out some more!
What a wonderful lineup of new books. And as for me, I’ve only read one! How can that be? Thanks for your post.
OOpse! Make that TWO!
I want to read: The Heiress: The Revelations of Anne de Bourgh by Molly Greeley.
denise
Excellent choice! I hope you get the chance to read it soon!
Such a full list! I can’t wait to read the next Alix James book!!
Indeed! Excellent choice!
I’ve read 6 so far! I have some others on my list now I’ve checked them out. Thank you for all your dedication to making these lists Meredith.
That’s great, Glynis! I’m glad you found some new ones that interest you!
29? Is that average for a month? That’s fantastic.
I think I’ve seen the average around 60 for the last year.
It is a great time to be an Austenesque reader!
Wow, what a list, Meredith. I am continually amazed by the sheer number of Austenesque books being published each month. How ever do you narrow down what you want to read/listen to? I have read 2 on the list so far. I must catch up. Best, LA
Same here, Laurel Ann! It is great that there are so many to choose from, but it does sometimes feel overwhelming that you won’t have time to read all that you want to!
Better late than never?? This is some great list of books from last month, there are seven must reads I added to my list. But at least this month I’ve at least read two. Fallen and A Fine Mind, both fantastic in totally different ways.
Great choices! I’m in the middle of Fallen now. 🙂 Thanks for checking out this list!
