Are you overwhelmed by all these fabulous new reads!! I sure am! There are 59 new Austenesque releases for the month of December!
There are so many to choose from! Which ones do you want to read?
I haven’t read any from this list yet, unless you count Laura Hile’s Mercy’s Embrace books – which I did read many years ago. So many new books that I’m interested in reading though!
What do you think about these lists?
Thought I’d check in since we are starting a new year and such. Do you want me to keep the list as is? Is there anything you want changed? I notice some comments that say these lists is overwhelming. And that might be because I include every book I find. Would you prefer a shorter list that features books that are popular on Amazon and Goodreads or by favorite authors? Do you want a filtered list or one that has more divided sections?
I want these lists to be helpful and something you enjoy, so please do let me know your thoughts! Thank you! 🙂
Wow! And as soon as I finish posting my holiday novella on New Year’s Day over on Brenda’s forum, I’m back to buying and reading. Thanks! Jen
Have fun shopping and reading! 🙂 Thanks for checking out my list!
Once again I am amazed at the sheer number of JAFF books being published. I can never catch up so I suppose I shall have to stop trying! I read very little while I am writing, but have lots of TBR kindle copies ready and waiting for me. Thank you for the list!
Me too, Brenda! You would think that with the November and December holidays that this month would see a tiny decrease. Nope! Authors are keeping busy!! 😉 Thanks for checking out my list!
These lists you put out are wonderfully helpful! Please keep posting the full lists. Thanks.
Yay! I’m so glad they are helpful! I would hate for them to make people feel stressed or frustrated.
I’ll be buying Mary Bennet and the Substitute Vicar, having read the first three. I have already read Two Days Before Christmas and Mr. Darcy’s Miracle at Longbourn.
Thank you for publishing these lists
Great choice! I’m always happy when I see a Mary Bennet story! Thanks for checking out my list!
There goes my wish list out the roof. Dang! However, thanks Meredith for listing all these books. I had no idea so many had been published. Happy New Year.
LOL! Authors were busy this month! Lots to choose from, I’m still catching up from previous months!!
Wow, yes, there is a veritable pile of new ones. Like you, I’ve only read Laura Hile’s books. I’m curious about the Mansfield Park and Other Mr. Knightley ones along with the one about Mary Bennet.
My vote is for a full list. I know that I can access your more specific lists up top when I want to see it based on the novels or book types. Thanks so much for doing these.
Happy New Year, Meredith. Enjoy that hot cocoa and a snuggle with Mr. Bingley.
Same here, Sophia! I like the idea of Jane Austen and fairytales blended together! And I agree The Other Mr. Knightley caught my eye too!
Please keep the full lists. I have a kobo so tend to buy my books from them – not all the books on Amazon are available on Kobo. One of my monthly pleasures is to go through the list and see which ones are available for me and then choosing which ones to buy.
Thank you so much for all the work you put into the lists – have a great new year.
Thanks so much for your feedback! I’m glad the full lists are what people want! And I totally love hearing that you enjoy going through the lists and that it helps you decide which books you want to buy! Wishing you many happy reads in 2018!
Full lists please. People like different things so it would be hard to filter. I myself mainly read D&E stories but some seem to prefer stories about minor characters or other JA books.
I have read Miracle at Longbourn as I bought Christmas Joy when it was out and Rose was kind enough to do a free update. I have Regina’s book waiting to be read and several others on my wish list. Now I must check the others to see if I should add any more (luckily the list appears to be infinite )
Thank you so much Meredith and may I wish you and Mr Bingley a very happy New Year.
I agree – the idea of filtering the list was daunting to me and I sure it would be something I’d struggle with each month. I’m glad to see that the full list is wanted (no matter how large!)
I like that there is a lot of new holiday reads on this list, but I’m not one who likes to read Christmas stories after the holidays are passed, so I may wait and get those next year! 😉 Hope you enjoy all your new reads!
Love, love love your lists! I vote as well for the full list! As Glynis says, people like different things. I have read four of the Christmas stories this month (Maria Grace, Leenie Brown and Rose Fairbanks). I know I will be reading Jennifer Joy’s new book, Regina Jeffers, Jann Rowland, Arthel Cake, Leila Eye, Laura Hile and Victoria Kincaid in the New Year! I will have to check out the rest but some, of course, I will not read.
Thanks so much for all your lists! Happy New Year!
Yay! Thank you so much for your amazing enthusiasm and support, Carole! I’m so glad you like the full lists! How awesome that you read so many Christmas stories this month! I hope to do like you and read more next December! I already have 3 on my TBR pile that I want to read.
A lot of wonderful reading!
denise
Yes! I agree! 🙂
Please continue with the full lists as I am always on the lookout for new authors in this amazing genre! Thank you for compiling and posting these lists; it must be quite the chore each month!! Your efforts are very much appreciated, Meredith!!
Warmly,
Susanne in sunny San Diego where, even in the mountains at 4000 feet elevation, it’s 75 degrees!
Awesome! I’m so glad to hear that you like finding new authors on these lists! I’m very happy to spend the hours I do making these lists. 🙂 As long as they are helpful and useful to readers like yourself, I consider it time well spent! 🙂
Oh you are so lucky! We have been in the 20s but if feels like the 10s and that is really unbearable for us in coastal NC who need to wear jackets when it is below 70!
Full list, please. Thank you, Meredith, for all the time and effort you put into your blog and your lists and your reviews. They are truly the gold standard.
Happy New Year to you and Mr. Bingley – wishing you joy.
Thank you for such kind words, Lilyane! They really are so encouraging! I’m so glad you enjoy the lists and reviews! I’ll try and keep them both in good quality!
Hoping you have a happy and healthy 2018!
Thank you for the time you put in to keep us informed, Meredith. The amount of new JAFF releases each month is daunting, and yet here you have them, with links and everything.
Thanks for the props for Mercy’s Embrace. It’s been great fun to work with these characters again. Can it have been eight years ago that those books were first published? 🙂
You are so sweet, Laura! It is indeed daunting! When I started making these lists there were around 30 books released each month…it is crazy how things are changing and growing in the genre! But I’m committed to keeping up as best as I can!
I know! It is crazy to think it was so long ago!! It doesn’t feel it! I can only imagine how lovely it is to be with Patrick and Elizabeth *sigh* <3 <3 <3
Please, keep the list ad it is…it is my austenesque enciclopedia XD
Thanks for all your great lists, Meredith, and especially for your support and your time!! It’s so wonderful of you to put so much love into JAFF. THANK YOU!!
