~ Suddenly Mrs. Darcy ~

Elizabeth Bennet never imagined her own parents would force her to marry a virtual stranger. But when Mrs. Bennet accuses Fitzwilliam Darcy of compromising her daughter, that is exactly the outcome. Trapped in a seemingly loveless marriage and far from home, she grows suspicious of her new husband’s heart and further, suspects he is hiding a great secret. Is there even a chance at love given the happenstance of their hasty marriage?

  1. How exciting to be part of the cover reveal! I think the cover is wonderful! I don’t know what the secret is, but I sure do want to find out. I will be adding this to my wish list.

  2. Wow, another lawyer who is also an author (John Grisham, Terry Brooks) and I love the work of those two. The cover is lovely and I am sure to want to read this a.s.a.p. When is the expected release?
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. How about Grace Burrowes, Sheila L.M.? I have to believe her insight of character, family, loss, emotional injury, and the healing of the right relationships, must come in part from her being a family lawyer. What do you think?

      1. I looked her up and then contacted her to identify in which order her books should be read -as it is different from the order in which they are written. She sent me a list of “recovering lawyers writing romance”: JR Ward, Nalini Singh, Ella Quinn, Julie James, Courtney Milan (clerked for two Supreme Court justices)….

        All new to me!

        1. I LOVE that…’recovering lawyers writing romance.” And a couple of those authors are new to ME, so thank you Sheila L.M.!! I’ll add those no my TBR list.

And thanks to Ms Burrowes if she reads this. I would be tickled if she did, but I also want her to keep on writing. 😉 I started with “The Heir,” and continued in order forward and then backwards with the novellas to fill in the story of ‘the heir’s’ parents. (The Duke and Duchess) ….I love that family of characters!!!!

          Have a great day Sheila L. M.

    2. Late April…I think I heard? It’s really clever & well written. Jenetta James is an emerging author to keep your eye on!

      1. I tried putting her name into Amazon but there is nothing as of yet. Would have pre-ordered on your recommendation. Remind me when it is published, please.

    3. Sorry I didn’t have the info about the release date, Sheila. There is a blog tour for this book happening from April 20th – May 3rd. Jenetta is stopping by AR on April 27th to do a guest post and giveaway!

  3. Welcome and congratulations! Love the cover and like others can’t wait to read this one! I like the premise. I wonder if the great secret is the fact that he really loves Elizabeth! Oh Mrs. Bennet strikes again!

  4. Well, the secret… I don’t know but in the cover they are about to open a door so, maybe the secret is behind the door…a mysterious room?…It’s really exciting. Thanks Meredith for this fascinating post 🙂

  5. Lovely cover! Looking forward to reading this – is sounds quite angsty. I looked for it on goodreads, to add it to my reading list, but didn’t see it. :/

      1. I went to Goodreads and marked it as want to read but the link to buy it from Amazon was a bust!

  6. Absolutely gorgeous cover. So much to look forward to. I can hardly wait to read it. It sounds like an interesting premise. A secret yum.. I certainly hope they figure out this happy marriage thing.

  7. What a gorgeous cover! Congrats to the designer. The colors are surprisingly striking, the font is simply done in a way that makes it stand out, and the branding is just perfect.

I’m suspecting that the secret might have to do with the woman’s hand being so much bigger than the one under hers. Might Fitzwilliam Darcy have a son? Is the woman helping him to open the door or stopping him? Intriguing! And probably completely wrong.

Can’t wait for this book’s publication.

    1. That’ s an interesting supposition, Joy! You have a good eye! I didn’t notice that about the hands. Now I’m really eager to see if you are right!
