A Team Austenesque Group Read!!!

Hello readers!

What would you say to participating in a group read??

I don’t know about you…but we are all very excited about the prospect of a new novel by Abigail Reynolds (due out sometime next week)!  What if we planned on reading this new release all at the same time???

Wouldn’t that just be awesome + fantastic + brilliant?

The Book Description:

There’s only one fact that notorious rake Lord Charles Carlisle and his cousin, Fitzwilliam Darcy, can agree upon: a house party given by the Marquess of Bentham is bound to be intolerably dull. That’s why Lord Charles is delighted to accept a bet that he can seduce his sister’s pretty friend during their stay at Bentham Park. After all, it’s easy money for an experienced seducer, and it will relieve his boredom. Why should he care if his staid cousin Darcy disapproves? But when Darcy discovers that Lord Charles’ new target is none other than Elizabeth Bennet, the woman who just refused Darcy’s offer of marriage, he cannot stand by and watch as the woman he still loves is callously ruined. What he doesn’t know is that Lord Charles has a dark secret, and that his attentions to Elizabeth may not be what they seem.

But Darcy has a secret agenda of his own at the house party, one that could change everything at Bentham Park. Add in a midnight rescue, clandestine meetings, a long-lost son, conspiracies, blackmail, and an attempted elopement, and suddenly this house party is anything but dull.

A Change for Team Austenesque!

As some of you may know, Team Austenesque (Angie Kroll, Jakki Leatherberry, and yours truly) put together a month-long celebration of Austenesque novels and their authors last September called Austenesque Extravaganza.  We love coming up with the creative posts, collaborating with authors so much, and connecting with readers so much.  We thought it was such a shame that we only did it once a year though…

So we decided we should spread out the festivities and fun throughout the whole year instead!

Every other month or so you can look forward to events that feature:

  • games
  • author collaborations
  • quizzes
  • chats
  • giveaways
  • and lots of Austenesque love and celebrating!

We begin this year’s festivities with this upcoming group read!

We hope to see you there!

    1. LOL! We broke down the novel into four sections, we were figuring that majority of the readers will be FOR SURE reading this book in under a week!

Even if you do read ahead (and can’t control yourself!) you are welcome to participate in all our discussions and chats!

  1. Even if you do *accidentally* gobble it up in one sitting, Ceri, please still feel free to join our discussions! 🙂 You know we’d love having you. I think it s going to be a challenge for all Abigail’s fans not to devour it in one sitting.

  2. This sounds like a lot of fun! What a great idea!

I have a dumb question: When will the book be released? I know you said next week, but Goodreads tells me July, Pemberley Variations says June, Amazon and BN don’t have it yet for pre-order . . . anyone know when and where it will be available?

(Can you tell I’m eager to get my copy and devour it?)

    1. Not a dumb question at all! Abigail said she believes it will be available by next Monday (the 10th) in both formats on amazon! If that’s true, I know I’ll be doing some shopping on Monday!

So glad you are excited as we are!

  3. I would love to join, if I can get a copy in time. I’m in Holland, so sometimes it takes a few weeks extra to get books here.

  4. Sounds like fun, Meredith. Would luv to participate, but having just become a brand new NaNa I’m off across the country to cuddle baby Conway right during the scheduled event!
    Have a great time!

  5. I’m with Ceri, I don’t think I could pace myself. I’m sure I wouldn’t want to put it down! Haha! But I’d still like to join you all! 🙂
