On Sunday, September 30th – our last day of Austenesque Extravaganza – we are hosting a GROUP WATCH of an AUSTENESQUE MOVIE and YOU are INVITED!
WHAT is a GROUP WATCH?
– Where all viewers, start a movie at the same time and chat together during the viewing! Sometimes people do this on twitter with hashtags, ours will be right here!
WHERE will the GROUP WATCH be?
– HERE on my shiny new chatboard!
WHEN will this GROUP WATCH take place?
– Sunday, September 30th, time: TBD
WHAT will we be WATCHING?
– Don’t know yet! Can you help us decide?
We have five choices and an open POLL that will stay open until SEPTEMBER 15th!
Come back after September 15th to see which movie WON and then be sure to secure a COPY of the movie to view at your home by September 30th!
I don’t have Clueless and maybe Bridget Jones’s Diary so among the other choices left I go for Lost in Austen. I chose it because the duration of the movie is the longest and I’m sure there could be many discussions going on. I hope I can be present because I’m about 12+ hours ahead of US East coast.
Same thought as Lúthien said. Love to participate, but need to see what hour you´re going to start. 🙂
I would love to participate, but it does depend on what the start time is…Sunday is mother-in-law day, she would not be happy for me to stay home and watch a movie 🙂 It really doesn’t matter to me what we watch, if its Austenesque, I’m happy!
It sounds fun! I’m open to several movies on the list.
I pick one, but I’m open to most of them. I already have three of them, so hopefully the winner will be one of those! 😀
Can’t go wrong with Bridget – especially if they are making another sequel!
I haven’t seen Bride and Prejudice yet and I think this would be a fun way to do it!
Honestly, I’ll watch whatever. It’ll be fun regardless! I’m leaning toward Bride and Prejudice or Lost in Austen.
I’ve seen all of them i believe. I’d love to do Lost in austen again.
I’d go for Bridget Jones or the Jane Austen Book Club since I own both of them. Clueless would be lots of fun too – can borrow from my daughter! LOL
The chat thingie would be so much FUN!! Looking forward to it!
I’M not sure if I can have a online chat since I live in france the timezone aren’t the same, and i odn;t have either internet on my phone, i can try to watch a movie on my computer and chat online , sharing my computer with sis ^__^ ( i’m a student )…if it is possible.. I will go for bride and prejudice 🙂 or briget jones , i saw them so many times !same for lost in austen
Conversation this evening in my household:
ME: Sunday the 30th I’m going to watch a movie and chat online while we watch it. Can you play with (toddler) so I can participate if it’s during the day.
HUSBAND: Sure, whatcha watching?
ME: Something Jane Austen related; we’re not sure yet.
HUSBAND: (long pause) It’s not that Colin Firth Mr. Darcy one, is it? Cuz that miniseries was like 5 hours long.
ME: It’d be awesome if we watched that!
HUSBAND: (shakes head)How many times can you watch that stuck up man dive into the lake?
ME: You go jump in a lake.
HUSBAND: (long pause) If I did, I’d at least take my shirt off.
ME: Yeah, I wish he had, too.
HUSBAND: That’s not what I meant!
ME: It’s okay to love Mr. Darcy; we all do
LOL Heather!
