Austenesque Agenda – August 2025

Hi dear friends!!

Happy August to you!!! How has summer been treating you?

I feel like it is going too fast! I want to hold on to it! 😣

I’ve been having my fair share of fun this summer… 😄

Some recent highlights include:

Meeting up with some Austenesque authors when they’ve ventured into North Carolina 🤗

Christina Morland!
Cat Andrews!

(to any reader or author that comes nearby: please know – I want to see you & will happily drive to meet you!)

Exploring in Montana 🌲

Taking Fezzik to the mountains in NC where the weather is cooler…⛰️

and he could make some pig friends! 🐷

Please tell me about your summer fun!!

I know some readers have had some health concerns lately too…

I hope things are on the mend or improving.

Want to know what Austenesque fun I’m getting into this month?

…here is what’s on this month’s

Austenesque Agenda:

~ TO READ AND REVIEW ~

long time readers of this blog may notice I’m not reading Georgette Heyer – as much as I want to, I’m traveling/in between trips just then and know that I need a little more time and stillness to read a Georgette Heyer novel so I’m thinking of skipping my tradition this year…(but I will bring it back next year!)

~ FEATURED AUTHORS VISITING THIS MONTH ~

Heather Moll – August 6th

Emilia Stratford – August 15th

Amy D’Orazio– August 22nd

Gill Mather – August 28th

I am so very excited for this lovely month!  I’ve got a lot to look forward to!

  1. It looks like you and Fezzik are having the most wonderful time! The expression on his face when he’s by those pigs is priceless <3

  2. You always take such gorgeous pictures! Looks like a fun summer. I took my toddler on an Oregon-Washington roadtrip and we also went to Disneyland! Now we’re gearing up to host a German high school exchange student this fall and my daughter will start preschool. I’m nearly done with my Northanger Abbey modern adaptations project and will begin on Mansfield Park next!

  3. I do so love your photos Meredith! Especially your meetings with authors. I still have health issues but hopefully will be able to read your posts. I look forward to them all! Have a wonderful month.

  4. It was so wonderful to have lunch with you, Meredith! Loved seeing your travel photos here: Fezzik looks like he really enjoyed hanging out with his pig friends, and what gorgeous photos from Montana! Happy reading to you, and thanks for all the joy you bring to this community!

  5. I’m so happy we got to spend time together and do some fun things! And I’m also very glad I got to introduce you to some of my peeps! Always a good time in NC. Can’t wait to go back!

  6. Montana is gorgeous as is western NC. So neat you got to meet up with Christina and Cat. Lovely line-up of guests this month.

    Have a good August, Meredith!

  7. Always, always love your photos! How cool is it that you were able to meet up with Christina and Cat. Oh my.

I’m really looking forward to this month’s line-up. It will go just as quickly or more, than the rest of this summer so far. But have a great August, Meredith. And everyone!

  8. Hi Meredith!
How good to see you and some authors meeting in NC! I love the pics of Montana but…the bear…is not real, isn’t it? He is stuffed , isn’t he? At first sight he was so real that I thought: “Meredith is so brave taking a pic so close”
I’ve started my holidays WOW and take with me some austenesque ebooks because they have become essential part of my suitcase
You have a great deal of readings for August and I’m curious about Claudia Gray’s and Gill Mather’s.
Let’s fingers crossed for August going slow and sweet!
    Happy August

  9. Your photos are a feast for the eyes as always, Meredith. I’m sorry you aren’t going to be able to fit in a Georgette Heyer this month but look forward to your line up 🙂
