Friends, I can’t tell you how happy I am we are no longer in January! that month almost did me in! 🙈
But perhaps one of the more exciting things that happened last month was…we saw snow! ❄️
Real snow. ☃️
Something that hasn’t happened here for seven years. 🌨️
And so, Fezzik and I made the most of it and went out a bunch in the snow! ❄️
It was his very first experience with it! 🐾
Tell me about your January – whether it was wonderful or not

Blog-wise February looks fantastic!
From one who grew up in Canada, I love snow. It’s so clean and bright! But I now live in Victoria, where snowfall is rare, and then to top it off, winter in Mexico, where I have to travel to the mountains for snow. So I don’t see it often either. The last time was about 5 years ago in Durango, Mexico.
I read and loved Cat Andrews’ book and I’m interested to hear your take on it. I also read everything by Heather Moll and can hardly wait for her new book.
Ahh, Fezzik in the snow is adorable! Looks like a great month of reading! It would be very hard for me to choose between the two options you gave us. I’d have to say, go with how you’re feeling at the time you have to choose. The modern-Mansfield interpretation looks like it could be great as a pick-me-up, where as the Elizabeth Barrett Browning book looks like the kind of book to read if you are curled up on a couch for the weekend, with a cocoon of blankets and many cups of tea or hot chocolate! Either way, hope you enjoy!
So much cuteness! You have a great month of reading planned, and I’m glad Fezzik and you got to enjoy the snow.
My sister in SC shared pictures of her dog experiencing his first-ever “snow day”. He was quite puzzled, as he couldn’t smell the other neighborhood dogs’ “markings,” and couldn’t identify where the sidewalk ended and the grass began.
Looks like a great lineup. Always love your photos. Here is PA we again saw snow yesterday…not great to travel in as we had gone to our granddaughter’s basketball game and then her birthday party an hour away. Treacherous driving home!
What a great agenda this month.
Love The Bachelor Darcy!
I am actually jealous about the snow. We’ve barely had a winter here. Not even 50% of our annual rain.
Awww! Fezzik is so cute! We skipped January snow but are now enjoying February snow up here in the Pacific Northwest. I’m excited about February because I’m headed out to New Zealand in two weeks for hiking and touring. Yay!
I hope your read Heart. Strings, etc. It just reminds me of reading coming of age romances in my early teens. Guess I’m feeling a little nostalgic.
