There are 7️⃣8️⃣ new Austenesque releases for the month of August!
Quite a collection of contemporary reads!
🌴 I’ve read 1️⃣ books from this list – Cursing Mr Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Variation with just a touch of magic by Amy D’Orazio
🌴 I am excited to have A Hopeless Business: A Pride and Prejudice Variation by Jan Ashton in my TBR list.
🌴 And there so many that I want to add to my wishlist – I quite like the look of a lot of the modern-day adaptations like Elizabeth of East Hampton (For the Love of Austen Book 2) by Audrey Bellezza and Emily Harding and The Comeback: A Sweet Sports Romance Inspired by Jane Austen by Ranee S. Clark.
Which books are you eager to read from this list?
Which do you recommend?
Wow, so many new ones and I love seeing Sense & Sensibility getting some love.
I’ve only read one and have a second one on my TBR.
Wonderful collection by so many authors. Sadly I’ve only read one, but will begin to chip away at this fantastic list. Thanks for all for your efforts.
I’ve read several but there are so many here to check out! Thanks for finding so many options to choose from. What a smorgasbord!
I have whole new list of books to read. Even a Collins, and they aren’t my favorite characters!!! Can’t wait to get into them. Of course, I do have stuff to do, like finish my photo scrapbooking, a quilt project and I guess I should cook for husband. Plus I have a a colonoscopy to prep for on Monday. Oh happy day, as my granny would want to say.
Thank you for compiling these lists each month. It truly helps me expand my to-be-read list.
The dialogue in Serendipity in Ink was stolen from the script of You’ve got mail.
Oh, and Prom and Prejudice by Jack Travis Hunter is the movie 10 Things I Hate About You
this author seems to enjoy plagiarism
Wow!
This seems daunting. I feel like I lost the month of August somewhere. I have not read one of the books above. It makes me feel so so far behind. I know I’ll never catch up which makes me sad I’ll miss some great so far unknown to me authors.
I have read a few, and listened to a couple. I see a few I’d like to read.
So far I’ve only read one of these – Honour, Decorum and Prudence by Lory Lilian. I have some others on my list already and will check the rest! Phew!
“Saving Anne de Bourgh” by Jann Rowland looks interesting 🙂 Thanks Meredith for the long list: there are some promising readings for enjoying the Fall Season.
Thanks for all your hard work compiling this list. I have only read three of the stories listed.
