Austenesque Agenda – December 2022

Hi friends! Happy December! 🎄

How was your November? Mine felt very quiet. Especially compared to the fun I had in October.

And according to my camera roll, my November was all about Fezzik!

Fezzik going to the beach. 🏖

We actually went to the beach a surprising amount for November.

Fezzik celebrating his birthday with a new pineapple bed. 🍍

Fezzik going on hikes in the woods. 🌲
Fezzik looking cool as he cruises around town. 😎

Lol! He was definitely the highlight of my month! What about you?
What was your November highlight?

~ THIS YEAR’S ANNOTATED JANE AUSTEN NOVEL ~

I cannot wait! I’m in the mood for adventures abroad with dear Catherine! Hoping that my 2023 will be full of them!

Debra-Ann Kummoung – December 7th

(a little quiet this month with author visits, but maybe that is subject to change!)

I can’t believe we are at the end of 2022 almost!

  1. Another full of fun month to come.

And it reminded me I too have this Mimi Matthews novella sitting on my shelves.

  2. I am loving your pictures of Fezzik (so cute) and the beaches and woods. Looking forward to reading your interview with Debra and seeing what you think of the books you are reviewing. Some I have never heard of before so I will be following up to see which ones you recommend. Perhaps a slower December will allow you (and Fezzik) more time to enjoy the season.

  3. Is Fezzik a new pet? I have read that first book and enjoyed it but none of the others. Thanks for sharing. Always love your photos. Getting together with our family in November was the highlight of our month. None live that close to us and with the grandchildren in school and involved with sports times to visit are limited.

  4. I loved your agenda this month Meredith!
    1) I was super curious about The Sisters of Seaview and the only reason I decided not to read it now was it’s length, so I really want to hear your thoughts in it.
    2) Never Inconstant is one I really, really want to read, and I hope to have it on my TBR very shortly.
    3) Reckless, Headstrong Girl is one of my favorite secondary characters stories, and I want to see if you like it as much as I did.
    4) I finished reading A Halifax by Gaslight just a couple of days ago and will also review it this month! What a coincidence :))
I guess we’re reading mostly the same books; just not at the same time 🙂
Oh, and my November was super cool with a trip to the Alpes 🙂 I wouldn’t mind having visited the beach as much as you and Fezzik though 🙂

  5. Fezzik is so cute! He obviously knows how special he is. I’ve read a couple of the books this month and am looking forward to reading your thoughts. Thank you!

  6. Oh dear, I have strong feelings about that annotated edition of NA. I look forward to reading your thoughts on it!

  7. I imagines a gentle giant but he’s more of an Iñigo. Cute as can be though and quite a character, I can tell. I’ve read some of those books and I’m looking forward to reading your reviews! Falling For Elizabeth Bennet is in my TBR list as well. Have a great weekend!

  8. Dear Meredith thank you for all your incredable reviews this year.
Hope you have a lovely time over the holidays.
I look forward to more wonderful reviews next year.

  9. I’m excited about this month’s agenda. I’ve read several of the books and eager to hear how you liked them. But there is Julie Klassen’s book which is on my wish list and want to read sometime next year. There’s a new-to-me author I’m also looking forward to hearing about. Your guest’s name has been on my radar but I haven’t read any of her books yet so that will be fun.

Oh those Fezik pictures! He’s adorable, just such a cutie. All your pictures are beautiful, fun, and very appreciated.

We celebrated a couple of family birthdays this month, those were great. Thanksgiving was quiet, by ourselves, as our Son & Daughter-in-law chewed through all of their vacation this past year with an incredible trip to Scotland. Not sorry about that at all, as we got to live vicariously through them, receiving pictures every day. But on Thanksgiving we spent most of the day texting back and forth on what we were cooking, it felt like we spent the day with them after all. I hope your December is just beautiful, Meredith.

  10. Love seeing your pictures of Fezzik – you’ll have to bring him along the next time I’m in NC so we can meet! And of course, I love the pictures of all your adventures together, especially those beach photos! November brought me clarity for my next story. I’m changing things up a bit, so fingers crossed for a productive winter of writing!
