Austenesque Agenda – February 2022

Hi dear readers! Happy February! Did you survive January in tolerable shape? 🤗

When I wasn’t trying to get with the 2022 program, I spent time with my TBR pile. 📚

Not so much reading, but counting and organizing. I have 100+ books in this pile! 😱

On nice days Fezzik and I have enjoyed exploring some local winter hikes, whether it be 70 degrees (Jan 1st) or 30 degrees (Jan 22nd) ❄️

How about you, readers? What did you do in January? ⛄️

  1. Hi Meredith, such great book you have there. I love the annoyed P&P version! I am currently also reading a Christmas read – non-austenesque, but am thinking of starting some austenesque after that again. Our last post with Lory Lilian really made me want to read some Darcy and Elizabeth next .

  2. Your photos are lovely, as usual. I have enjoyed several of the books (His Frozen Heart, Captive Hearts, and In Plain Sight) mentioned but see several more I am looking forward to learning about. Presently I am reading the revised edition of Torn. I did read the first edition so am interested in reading the changes made by Lory Lilian.

  3. Oh Meredith! I love your bookshelves! I am always urging my husband to build more bookshelves for me! LOL! Your agenda looks amazing! I loved Don’s ‘In Plain Sight’, Kelly Miller’s ‘Captive Hearts’ and Sophie Turner’s ‘A Generation’s Secrets’. Looking forward to Lory Lilian’s visit and Don Jacobson! Excited to see a new author to me, Paige Badgett, and thrilled to see a new book from Mary Smythe! And it is always wonderful to see more of J. Dawn King!

  4. Love the pictures, especially of Fezzik in his red coat. He reminds me so much of my Chloe who passed two years ago. I read and enjoyed Lory’s rewritten novel TORN and have Kelly’s new book up to read next. I always make time to read Mary Smythe’ stories and J. Dawn King’s. Looking forward to all the interviews and reviews. If only there were more hours in the day!

  5. Love the picture of you with ALL your books (or is that just a fraction?) Captive Hearts was very good. A true swoon-worthy Captain Wentworth 😉

  6. Busy month ahead for you! I’m so excited to read about Jane and the Year without a Summer (at last!) and have been eager to learn “what happened on Box Hill.” Thank you so much for Old Boots, which arrived yesterday.

  7. Another wonderful lineup. If I wasn’t working on my WIP right now I would try to keep up with you. Still the list is awesome and I WILL get to it down the road. Thanks as always.

  8. So good to see you and Fezzik enjoying the outdoors. Glad you got you count of TBR done. your line up for the month looks amazing.

  9. I’m so jealous of you lovely hikes! It’s been a bitter cold and covered in snow where I live. On the other hand lots of time indoors to read books! Looking forward to this months posts

  10. Wow, quite the TBR tower you have there. I could make several of those towers with mine. LOL
    Cute pics with Fezzik.
I look forward to seeing what you think of your reading stack and to the guest visits.

    Have a great February, Meredith!
