There are 6️⃣3️⃣ new Austenesque releases for the month of October!

Lots of audiobooks and some new non-P&P books!

🎃 I haven’t read any of these new releases (not counting the audiobook releases)

🎃 I am excited to have A Wilful Misunderstanding: A Pride & Prejudice Variation and As Only Mr. Darcy Can: A Pride and Prejudice Regency Romp in my soon TBR pile! 😍

🎃 Some other new releases look wonderful – I am really curious about the ones by Staci Hart – so many reviews!

Which books are you wanting to read?

**I am purposely not including any books that have been flagged for plagiarism or that mention being posted by a different author on a forum. If I miss any, let me know – I will immediately remove the book from this list. I aim to support and promote all new Austenesque reads with this list, but that will not include works that were stolen and published without the author’s consent. 😠

  1. Thanks once again for the list of the month’s releases..
Any idea why some of books don’t offer a sample?

  2. I’m not sure how you do it, but thank you for your extensive list. I’ll be filling up my TBRs.
Also, thanks for mentioning the recent rash of piracy in the JAFF world. There have been quite a few lately.

    1. I am happy to do it, Cassandra. It takes a good bit of time nowadays…but I enjoy making them and am glad that lists are helpful to others!

It hasn’t been like this before…I hope whoever is doing it stops!

    1. Thank you, Joy! That makes me so happy to hear! I don’t know if I would keep making them if I didn’t know others were getting something good out of them!

  3. I have only read two of these but that is not a surprise as I quit KU in order to read many of the stories sitting on my Kindle for years. Thanks for all your hard work, Meredith. Lovely covers as others have said.

    1. Sheila, I’m so tempted to do this too. In fact I did do that several years ago, in order to catch up, but then took an offer I couldn’t refuse. And I’m right back where I was when I cancelled it the first time. On the other hand so many authors have kindly made their books available on KU, for which I’m so grateful. I’m so decision impared! But I admire your commitment to catch up on your TBR!!

  4. Never Doubt I Love: A Tale of Mary After “Pride and Prejudice” by Ashlynn Chantrea – will be buying this. Read Crossed in Love as a WIP and enjoyed it, just started reading Tides of Bath as a WIP, so I will probably buy this as Anne and the Captain are my second favourite couple after Mary B and the Colonel

    1. Yay! That’s great, Vesper! I am so glad to hear you have several stories that you are interested in! It is great to see other character pairs in the spotlight!

  5. Wowza! I’ve already read a handful of these, and have several others queued up on my Kindle. Now if only I could find some of those extra hours I’ve seemed to misplace…

  6. I have a handful of must reads from the list above added to my wish list. Wow. I also have quite a number that I need to investigate and will undoubtedly want to read too. Thanks so much for doing this list each month. As much as ‘The Big [A]’ promotes books based on my purchases and searches, I still miss some. So, thanks again Meredith. I really appreciate your efforts on our behalf.

    1. Isn’t it great to have so many wonderful books that you want to read? We will never run out!

I still miss some too, even with hours spent searching on Amazon! I wish they could let authors tag their books JAFF or Austenesque – it would make things so much easier!

  7. Thanks Meredith for all the effort you always put in this post 😉
“Nothanger Haunting” sounds interesting, in any case the cover has bewitched me!
I enjoyed “Lost and found” by Christie capps and I think “The Dragons of Kellyinch” in audiobook must be thrilling!
Happy Halloween and pay attention to witches and goblins!

    1. I am happy to do it!

I agree! That one does look interesting! And it looks like there are several other books in that series?

Hope you enjoyed a lovely (and goblin-free) Halloween!

  8. Really enjoyed Balter as a WIP. Also, Lory Lilian’s new one has just been released so I can’t wait to get into that on my day off.

  9. Thank you for all your hard work putting these lists together every month! Here’s a book not on your list that I heard about from NPR. The Code for Love and Heartbreak by Jillian Cantor. It’s contemporary romcom retelling of Jane Austen’s Emma.

    1. My pleasure! Thanks so much!! I will add it to the list. Amazon is my main source for finding books still and sometimes they aren’t always showing books unless they have Jane Austen or Pride and Prejudice in the title or subtitle.

That is cool that you learned about it from NPR!

  10. Phew! I’ve read two so far, Silver Buckles and Lady Catherine’s Accident! Loved them both!
I have a few more in my list already, A Wilful Understanding, As Only Mr Darcy Can, Encounter to Remember among them.
I don’t have audiobooks but have read several of those!
I will check the rest out, thanks so much Meredith 🙂
