Austenesque Novel Finds – June 2020

Hi readers, happy summer…officially!  🏖

If you have been here awhile, then you know summer is my favorite season!  😎

One thing I love about summer is that I get a tiny bit more reading time in these months than I do other seasons. 🌴

🌴 Okay, not counting rereleases or other formats I have read 0️⃣ from this list.

🌴 But I do have A Very Austen Romance: Austen Anthologies, Book 3, Love Unsought, Murder at Northanger Abbey: Sequel to Jane Austen’s Spoof on the Gothic Novel, and Rebellion at Longbourn: A Pride and Prejudice Variation in my TBR pile! 😍

🌴 I’m excited to check out some others too – what a bounty of fabulous reads for us Austenesque fans!

Which books do you want to read?

  1. What books do I want to read? Any and all! i admit, I’m way behind this month. As always, thanks for your awesome list!

  2. I have read a number of these (Some of which are being re-released by a new publisher for that book.) but am still just shaking my head at how many new stories there are in just one month. Even with being retired there is no way I could keep up. Maybe a speed reader could? Thank you for all your hard work compiling this list, Meredith. Hope you enjoy the summer but please, everyone, stay safe. The sun belt seems to be now spiking in COVID-19 cases!

  3. Phew! Well I’ve read the originals of the three Jenetta James books and the Lory Lilian book.
Apart from those I’ve read A Timely Elopement by Joana, Confined With Mr Darcy by Leslie, In Plain Sight by Don and Unintended by Alix/Nicole. All absolutely fabulous books.
I have a few others on my list and I will check out the rest.
Thank you so much Meredith. Happy summer, happy reading and stay safe!

    1. Oh and Nicole Clarkston released Tempted today so should be on this list or will you add it to next month’s list? Whatever that’s another one I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed (and cried over, and sighed over!)

  4. I had to use 10 fingers to count all the books I most definitely want to read, and that does not include rereleases I want to reread. There are quite a more that look like possibilities. But I’m with Sheila Majczan, I’m shaking my head and sighing over the amount of books that came out in just one month. I’ve already listened to two of the audio books that came out this past month. Even with what I listen to and hanging out on Audible, I don’t catch all the new ones. So, I really appreciate your listing them here.
Thank you Meredith, I keep thinking this list you provide us each month goes way above and beyond. So I never want you to think I take it for granted, or that we don’t know and appreciate how much work this list represents. You’re the best.

  5. Another great month for book releases! And some really fantastic covers too. Thanks, Meredith, for putting all this together again.

  6. This list shows me how far behind I am! Sigh. Thanks for compiling it for I would never notice all of these online.

  7. Read Matching Mr. Darcy Leenie Brown,
    Want to read Murder at Northanger Abbey by Shannon Winslow, Rebellion at Longbourn, I Am Jael by Laraba Kendig, and Mary’s Song by Amanda Orneck;
Possibly The Crawfords Redeemed Anjali Desai , and Hidden Desires by Colin Rowland

  8. Yowza! I can only imagine how much time it must take you to prepare these lists each month. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You rock!

  9. WOW, as always Meredith, this list is amazing as well as your effort to compile it! Thanks 😉
I would choose any of Jenetta James or Victoria Kincaid and “A very Austen romance”.
I also look forward to catching up with my TBR pile given the difficulties to travel in summer…but, stop, we can always travel to Pemberly in our imagination through the wonderful austenesque novels!!!

  10. I can’t believe I didn’t share in this conversation. Some I’ve read, some I own, some I want, some are on my wish list and … guess you get the picture. Thanks for doing this Meredith [hello to your Mr. Bingley]. I am always amazed at how many books you find that I have never heard of. My wish-list expands exponentially after you do one of these posts. LOL! Stay safe and healthy, guys.
