Austenesque Agenda – March 2020

Hello, my friends! How is March treating you so far? Are you looking forward to the start of Spring? 🌷

We’ve had some of what we call “cold” weather here in NC, and I’m excited about warmer temps returning so I can work and read outside. 🌱

With Mr. Bingley traveling, I kept myself busy with some fun (in addition to reading and blogging!) ☀️

I celebrated my first-ever Galantine’s Day with the lovely Samantha Whitman – it was so special! 💝

We had the most delicious waffles in honor of Leslie Knope, the creator of Galantine’s Day!! 🧇

My lovely cousin came for a visit and we enjoyed some quality family time. 🥰

And I was asked to pup sit for one of my piano students and got to take care of two of the most loving and adorable dogs for 9 days. 🐶

I’ve been feeling like I wanted a dog for some bit of time now and this was a great experience for me to determine if I was really serious about wanting to get a dog (and if I can handle it!). 🤔

Brutus and Samson gave constant love and cuddles and I fell in love hard with having a little furry companion in the house! 😍

  1. Oh, those fur babies were adorable. How will you give them back? Pup sit… that was cute. I’ve never heard that before. [Hello to Mr. Bingley] I hope he wasn’t jealous that you spent the time he was gone with Brutus and Samson. I mean… seriously. LOL!! You look like you have a full month planned and I am looking forward to seeing the interviews and reviews. Blessings, my dear.

    1. It was very hard to give them back…we shared lots of love with each other! But I’m excited! That means I should get my own puppers – 1st time! Never had a pet so it is a big decision! 😉

LOL! Yes, I am excited with all that I have to look forward to this month!

  2. Looking forward to your reviews and the lineup of authors is awesome. Have a great month! ♫

  3. Hi Meredith, I agree with you: the puppies are adorable and cute…and maybe a little naughty aren’t they? LOL
How good you enjoyed some time with your cousin!.
Sorry my ignorance but what is galantine’s day?
Your agenda have plenty of novels and authors!!! WOW!. I wonder what Jennifer Becton will tell us 🙂
I’m looking forward to “Pride and Prejudicial “, I hope it’s well written as I enjoy with lawyers books and films. In fact, I’m watching now “The good fight” and it’s really thrilling 😉
    Have a nice March!!

    1. They weren’t that naughty…there was some accidents in the house. But not too bad, it is true what they say “small dogs, small messes.”

Up until a few years ago I didn’t know what Galantines Day – it is typically celebrated around Valentines and it is a day where girlfriends can get together and celebrate their friendship…or as Leslie Knope puts it:

“What’s Galentine’s Day? Oh, it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave their husbands and their boyfriends at home and just kick it breakfast style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus, frittatas!”

Yes! Jennifer Becton’s new is so exciting! And I’m hoping the same thing about Pride and Prejudicial!

  4. Your Galentine celebration looks fun and ahhhh, those are cutie puppies. Hopefully they helped you decide about one of your own.

Nice looking line up of review books and visitors for the month. I’ve got a couple of those to read, too.

    Have a great March, Meredith!

    1. They sure did!! Will begin searching for a fur baby of our very own soon!!

Fun! Looking to comparing thoughts with you, Sophia!

Hope you enjoy a great month!

  5. Looks like you had a lovely February! (How is it that I had not heard about Galentine’s until this year? I even watched Parks and Rec, too — apparently not that closely!) Excited to read your reviews and your guest features. Thanks goodness for you; I wouldn’t be able to keep up with the Austenesque world otherwise! Happy March to you.

    1. LOL! Yay for being a Parks and Rec viewer!! It is my first time celebrating this day and hearing about so many others celebrating it too. Will definitely be making it a tradition!

Aww! You are sweet! Happy to help and share my reading and reviews with you all!

  6. Very very good looking agenda for March. I can’t wait to read your reviews, and see the visitors to your blog this month.

You had an adorable month, Meredith: Company w/friends and family, doggy cuddles. <3 Here's to March! 🙂

  7. Waffles and puppies? Sounds like a good month to me! 😀 I have two fur babies (of the feline sort), and since I work from home a lot of the time, it is both frustrating and wonderful. They are great company, but also insist on sitting on me as I work.

I am so, so looking forward to Taken. I read it online and adored it. Oh yeah, and seeing what people think of Being Mrs Darcy. 🙂

    1. LOL! Right? What a fun combination! Lovely!! My parents and brother have multiple cats, who I dearly love! But my goal is to have a fur baby I can bring places…and dogs are a little more keen to explore and adventure. 😉

I’m thrilled about another new release from Q&Q to look forward to and what great excitement it is to be celebrating your big release, Lucy!! I wish you all the best!!

  8. Galentine’s Day sounds just perfect! I had not heard of it. My husband is allergic to cats and dogs but I had both growing up and they were part of the family. The dogs especially give so much love. Cats are finicky at times. Your reviews and interviews should be great. I have not read Duke Darcy’s Castle and will have to check it out. Glad to hear your time with the puppies was enjoyable…great experience for considering one of your own.

    1. It was so much! It comes from the TV show Parks and Rec, but I think it might be coming a bigger thing now, which is awesome!

Yes, I am noticing that about cats and dogs. My brother and parents all have cats now, but we had no pets growing up.

Thanks so much!! Hope you are having a lovely March so far!
