72?? Wow, the list just keeps growing and growing. I think I’m going to read a few books that are not mainstream in the genre in the next few months. It seems that everyone is reading the exact same books, and many good ones are left behind because the authors are not very known in the community. So I think I’ll focus on those for a while. And also on the huge pile of unread paperbacks I still have in my library.
Thanks for putting all this together once more Meredith 🙂
It sure does! I’ve never seen the numbers this high!! That sounds like a wonderful idea, Rita! And I’m definitely eager to check out your reviews to see what you think of your reads!
I still like to go back and read some of the earlier published works pre-2003. I know they aren’t the most popular anymore, but I’m drawn to them.
Wow, this is a massive list! How fabulous to see so many works coming out. There are so many names I’m not familiar with yet as well.
We had an Austenesque book out in November too, and we do hope you’ll read it at some point, Meredith!
Belated happy Thanksgiving! Hope you had a great holiday!
Thank you, Cass! So sorry…I had some trouble with Amazon searches showing accurate results with the keyword Jane Austen, but that is no excuse! I shouldn’t have forgotten! And yes, it is on my TBR pile for January! I cannot wait!!!
No worries! 😀 Hoping you enjoy the read when you get to it! Have a fabulous Holiday season!
Unbelievable! SO many books. I should be retired and then I still wouldn’t have time to read them all. Thanks again for another amazing list! Love it! ♫
If only there were more hours in the day! It is great to see how the genre is thriving!
Wow – that is a massive list Meredith. It great that you research and collect all of this data for us. The Austenesque genre is certainly thriving. I am really encouraged that authors are also producing audiobooks, which I enjoy. I wish I had the time to read them all!
Thank you, Laurel Ann. I love making lists and learning about new books in the Austenesque genre has been an interest of mine for years. Thought it would be fun to share all my findings!
This month has a lot of new audiobooks!
At the rate Jane Austen variations are being published, I could not possibly read them all! The next book I will read shall be Melanie Rachel’s Headstrong, Book 1, since I was lucky enough to win a copy. 🙂 I look forward to it; the reviews are already very good. Thanks, Meredith for compiling this impressively long list!
Wonderful choice, Kelly! That series looks great! Thanks so much for checking out this list!
Yeah, it was a quick month and I managed to read two that are older. I do have two from the list and am working on one right now.
Good for you, Sophia! It is a lot to keep up with, isn’t it?
I’ve read It’s Always Been You and Me and Speechless and I read Persuading Miss Mary as it was posting.
I have several others on my list and of course I have my ‘just have to reread’ list, which gets longer and longer. So I’m sorry Jennifer Redlarczyk but even being retired doesn’t help overmuch!
Thanks Meredith! I will check these for books I might have missed.
All excellent choices, Glynis! I’m glad the list helps you catch any you might have missed! And lol, you are killing my dream! I was hoping retirment would allow for all sorts of massive reading time! 😉
I had the pleasure of hearing Hilary Davidson speak about Regency Fashion in Brisbane and have been waiting for her book to come out so am looking forward to buying that. Also love a Leenie Brown and Meg Osborne so they will be essentials.
I have only read 5 of the books but have two on Audible which I have yet to listen to. Just overwhelming but thank you for the lists. Your work is appreciated.
Oh boy. That’s a lot of books for my wish list. I’m reading Shannon’s devotional, and enjoying that. I’ve read all of the Leenie Brown books when posted online, but I’m looking forward to just reading them straight through. I’m really so happy about the number of audio books available this past month! I like Rita’s idea and making an effort to read some that are not mainstream. I have to force myself to climb out of that box I’m so comfy in. 😀
