Austenesque Agenda – November 2019

Hi there, friends! What busy times we are having! How about you?

October had a lot going on for Mr. Bingley and me! 🎃

We added a new vehicle to our family…a little pod camper!!! 🚐

And we are calling it Bert, get it?  Bert and Ernie? (Mr. Binley’s truck is affectionally called Ernie because of its color!) 🧡

We took Bert camping close to home. ⛺️

And we also took Bert camping far from home and attended an outdoor expo in Virginia with my brother. 🚙

While in Virginia we checked out our 2nd National Park – Shenandoah! 🏞

And then we spent 1 week and 1 weekend at home together before Mr. Bingley had another work trip to go on! 🥰

Other than all that, we were busy with working quite a lot! 📚🙌🏼

Speaking of….all these exciting new releases and blog tours have been keeping us busy! How about you?

  1. Bert and Ernie, and especially their mascots, are adorable! Super excited that His Choice of a Wife in on your to-read pile, Meredith. Thanks!

  2. Looking forward to your review of The Unexpected Past of Miss Jane Austen. I read the first book and really enjoyed it.

  3. Buahaha! Bert and Ernie. Love it! Glad you had a good time christening Bert this past month on a few trips. Gah, October was full up, wasn’t it?

Oh, very nice line up of books to read and of author visits. I’ve got a couple of those on my list, too. 🙂

    Have a great November, Meredith!

    1. We are apparently 5.

It sure was and now we are already half way through November! I hope you are enjoying this month so far, Sophia!

Glad you are looking forward to our upcoming reviews and author visits!

  4. I like the little pod camper, it’s really useful. And I love your “Ernie and Bert” (in Spain we call them “Epi y Blas”), they are so cute!
What an amazing landscapes you have visited, the views are overwhelming!.
It’s true, how many authors you have this month! No wonder you don’t have enough time to review LOL.
I’m curious about “The Bride of Northanger”(although I haven’t read “Northanger Abbey ” yet. Can you believe it?. I expect to read it this Autumn at last!).
Have a sweet and cozy November! 🙂

    1. Thank you! We love it too! Ooo, I love the Spanish names. Will have to share that with Mr. Bingley.

I’m forever chasing these beautiful views! 😉

I feel like Miss Bates, I love having visitors and these authors are so obliging.

I think you will definitely love both Northanger Abbey and The Bride of Northanger! Please tell me your thoughts if you do get to read NA this autumn!!

  5. You find the most beautiful places on your trips! Love the pod camper and I know Bert and Earnie are loving it too. I am amazed at all you manage to do every month. I can’t even find time to read when I am writing, much less read all the books you do. That is one reason I love your reviews so I can narrow down those that I know I will ‘have’ to read. Looking forward to all the interviews too.

    1. We love to explore! It amazes me too sometimes, lol. I love all we keep busy with, but at the same time I wish we had a little bit more down time.

I’m so happy you find the reviews helpful!! Hope your writing is going brilliantly!

  6. Another amazing month! Love the pictures. My son just came back from visiting relatives in Hawaii and as it is cold here in Indiana, I wish I had my own pictures to share from that state. Better still, I wish I was there. Thanks for all of your amazing work and all you do for JAFF readers and authors. Have fun at the conference. ♫

    1. Oh wow! That sounds like such an amazing trip!! I can only imagine how warm and beautiful it is there!

Thank you for such lovely words, my friend! I hope you can join us next year!!

  7. What beautiful (and fun) photos. That little camper looks so sweet. Can you actually sleep in it? I love their names, Burt and Ernie. 😀

If you aren’t paying attention and just flip past the photos, you can’t appreciate the beauty of the mountain scene. I recently took pictures of a vista with distant mountains, and when I looked at them later I realized the camera just couldn’t possibly do them justice. That is why I took a really good look at yours. I have my memories, that’s what counts. But you just can’t experience that beautiful expanse without the smells or the breeze or the cold or heat. But I really tried to put myself there looking at it with you. WHAT a view! The colors. The light in the valleys. I love seeing pictures of you and your brother, and you and Mr. Bingley. ALL of the pictures were great. I could almost smell those crunchy leaves.

    1. Hi Michelle, WOW! There’s poetry in your words and, at the same time, you’re right: the smells, the light, the heat or cold put the finishing touches to the experience and make it real… I wish the photos let us feel such sensations!
At least we have the pics and our memories and Meredith’s photos are really captivating 🙂

    2. Yes! There is bed inside, perfect for 2! 😉

You are so right, Michelle. I will snap a hundred pictures still and when I get home am always disappointed with the mountain views not looking anywhere near as impressive and magnificent in my photos as they do in person!

I love seeing the leaves change, the colors are stunning this time of year!

  8. Here we are already a week in the month of November, and I always think this month goes incredibly fast. What a great agenda. And guests. I’m looking forward to all of your reviews. I’m eager for all the guests, but especially Shannon’s appearance because I’ve been following her posts on trying to decide on the cover for her new book and that was fascinating. And her devotional looks great, and isn’t it perfect for this month when we remind ourselves of all we have to be thankful for.

  9. My November is so busy, I’m just catching up with reading now. 😀 Love the photos from your camping trip (and I’m jealous!). Thanks for helping your readers keep up with the world of JA inspired books!

Your conversation and participation are always welcome; please feel free to "have your share."
