  1. What a list! I also want to read The Bride of Northanger. I love Northanger Abbey! I adore cover art, and the cover for Mr. Darcy’s Bet jumped out at me. It’s different from anything I’ve seen. I think I’ll add that one to my list too 🙂

    1. Me too, Brigid! And it is so seldom written about! I can’t wait to see what is in store for Catherine and Henry!!

It is a lovely cover! I won’t say I judge a book by its cover, but I’m definitely initially drawn to some books because of their cover!

Hope you enjoy a wonderful month!

  2. Whew! Big list again. I’ve read two and have one on the TBR and three for the wish list from the group. Appreciate having your list to scroll through and hope Mr. Bingley is home soon, safe and sound. 🙂

  3. So glad your Monday is going to be so great! Welcome Home Mr. Bingley! As for the list, I can’t keep up but I will sure try to! Yup, ‘The Bride of Northanger Abbey’ will definitely be on my pile in October. I have read Don’s book ‘The Pilgrim: Lydia Wickham and the Soldier’s Portion’ which is amazing! Also, ‘The Journey Home’ by Joana Starnes. There are a few others on your list that I want to read too!

  4. The list jsut keeps growing and growing doesn’t it? I have only read one of these so far, but I plan to read a few others. Unfortunetely there are so many books from which to choose from nowadays, that we tend to neglect some new authors 🙁

  5. Oh Meredith, it’s such a long list!!! And I can’t recommend you any titles because I haven’t read any book! LOL. It’s awesome! . I’m curious about “Torn” of Lory Lilian, “The Pilgrim ” by Don Jacobson and “The bride of Northanger “.

Here in Madrid there were storms last weeks and it seemed autumn had come but the last days the sun has been shining and the weather is delightful maybe because it has been Michaelmas (I think this is the word you use for the last days of September doesn’t it? In Spain we call them “Veranillo de San Miguel”).

I’m happy to know Mr Bingley has returned! 🙂
By the way, have you watched the Downton Abbey movie? If not yet, you must see it! It’s wonderful and charming to see our dear Downton Abbey on the big screen! 😉
    A big hug!

    1. Excellent choices, Teresa!! Seeing authors we enjoy publish new stories is so exciting!

We still haven’t had fall arrive! LOL! I’m not complaining though. I love sunshine and warmth. That’s great to hear the weather has been delightful!

Yes!! It was so much fun and I thought they did a wonderful job – I was very satisfied! Glad to hear you loved it too!

      Hugs to you!!

  6. Eleven days is a long time, and depending on when a trip starts can span two weekends, which in our opinion was always the pits and left us feeling cheated. Over 39 years of my Mr. Darcy’s work life he traveled A LOT!!! Oh, the birthdays, anniversaries, Valentine’s Days, Mother’s Days and sports events, orchestra concerts he missed. Boo. But it paid for the rent, etc. 🙂 I’m so glad for you both that Mr. Bingley is home now. 😀 Looking forward to those next set of pictures.

Wow what a month! Not to mention last month and the next few months with more favorite authors releasing new works. It kinda feels like JAFF Christmas. Woo. I’ve read Joana’s book, (loved!) have just started Abigail’s book, I own Regina’s new book and am so eager to read Don’s and Lory’s books, although I think I need an angst break soon. Very excited to see 4 or 5 of the audio books that have become available. And then so many others from the list above going on my wish list.

And lastly, for some reason I have made it a yearly habit to reread Karalynn Mackrory’s Haunting Mr Darcy in October, even though it takes place during the Christmas-Twelfth Night holiday time. Because it’s ……a haunting! 😉 Happy October, Meredith. We’re on that steep downward slope to the holidays now. Eeek!

    1. YES!!!!!! It was two weekends and you are so right, it was the pits! Especially since he was technically working on his weekend and I had all this free time and we couldn’t be together. I keep telling Mr. Bingley needs to invent a transporter so he can be where he needs to for work but still come home each night! 😉

It does feel like JAFF Christmas! I so agree! What excellent choices you have selected! I know you will enjoy them all! But yes, maybe pick a light non-angst read to through into the mix. Maybe a novella? or modern? 😉

What a wonderful yearly tradition!!! I love that story and it is definitely one I am needing to reread!

  7. I’m a bit late coming to this post (although I imagine you are too busy welcoming your Mr Bingley home to notice Meredith!)
I’ve read five of these! A Matter of Honor, Mr Darcy’s Bet, The Journey Home to Pemberley, The Troublesome Mr Collins and Torn!
    Loved them all!
I have a couple more already on my list so will check the rest out.
I don’t have audiobooks but for those that do this is a brilliant idea to include them.
    Thanks Meredith

    1. You are so sweet! I’m happy to see your comment (late or not!)

Oh such excellent choices! I’m glad to hear that you loved them all!

Hope you have a wonderful month, my friend!
