Hi readers, do you know where April went? I feel like the month just flew by…which is such a shame since it was such a beautiful month weather-wise!
I hope you all enjoyed some reading time this month… I was able to fit in a tolerable amount, but I also did a lot of movie watching as we were preparing for Avengers: Endgame which we saw yesterday!! 🎥🦸🏻♂️🦹🏼♀️

These are great lists Meredith but oh my word you would think Austen only wrote P&P and nothing else!!!!!
It is her most beloved novel for sure! I can definitely recommend the Allie Cresswell series – it focuses just on Emma characters. And I am guessing Emma the Matchmaker is inspired by Emma as well. 😉 But I do agree that it is a shame that books inspired by Jane Austen’s novels are not more popular!

An average of 40 books a month or so over the last year–no one can keep up with that level of reading. I do hope you get a chance to read the best of them, Meredith, and enjoy all the ones you choose.

Ah, you know it’s real when ‘The List’ comes out. Even though I’ve been making appointments, and buying Birthday and Graduation cards, and (trying) to plan May events, it wasn’t really real that May was right there under our noses….until ‘The List.’ 😀
I’ve read 1 book from the above list, unless you count book 4 of Jennifer Joy’s books 4-5 set of Meryton Mysteries Series. Then it’s 2 books. I read Christie Capps His Frozen Heart (keeping it in the family.) 😉
There are 4 books from the above list that are must reads, Suzan Lauder’s, Lory Lillian’s, Jennifer Joy’s, (book 5) and Allie Cresswell’s books. But there are more I’d really like to read someday. Authors I haven’t even tried yet. And you asked if we got much reading done in April and my answer is YES. But it’s still not enough. I’ve got such a TBR pile of truly great reads I’m aching to get to, plus my Wish Lists. And I absolutely forced myself to read something other that JAFF this month in order to give myself a breather (huh? why would you ever want that??) and to attack my other TBR non-JAFF stack. But of the Austenesque books I read this past month 3 of them were quite long, making it more volume than numbers.
You didn’t say, but I hope you enjoyed your movie! 🙂 And I wish you and Mr Bingley a wonderful May. Now, drum roll please, onto ‘The Agenda.’ Woo hoo, can’t wait.

We did enjoy the movie, it was wonderfully done…I just don’t know if I am at peace with all that took place. (won’t say more, because I don’t want to spoil anything!)
