I don’t think we will run out of books to read!!! There are 43 new Austenesque releases for the month of October!
There are so many to choose from! Which ones do you want to read?
🎃 I have read 2 (technically 1 and a half) lovely books from this list – Rational Creatures: Stirrings of Feminism in the Hearts of Jane Austen’s Fine Ladies (The Quill Collective Book 3) and I have read one of the books in the Christmas at Darcy House/ A Very Darcy Christmas Double Feature: Two full-length Pride and Prejudice Variations in one Set.
🎃 And I know I’ll be reading Jane Austen: Her Heart Did Whisper and Unwrapping Mr. Darcy soon.
🎃 But I’m adding several others to my wishlist…is it too early to start my Christmas wishlist? 😉
I noticed there were a lot of boxset released this month, do you like seeing those included on these lists? Or do you feel they are unnecessary as they aren’t NEW books?

It is amazing to see all the new books in a list like this. Thank you. And I am awed whenever I see it because I know the work it takes in producing a book! (I’m exhausted to think about the collective hours for these 43 books here!)
Boxset listings would surely be helpful but isn’t that just more work for you? I hate to add a burden when you already do so much to keep up with this ever growing list.
I am awed too, because I feel like I know many of the new releases through Facebook, my blog, and other social media…but then when I make this list I find a whole bunch of books that I didn’t know anything about!
Thanks for your feedback, it isn’t really more work. I just wasn’t sure if people felt they were redundant.
Thank you for another great list, Meredith! 43 books! No, I don’t think will run out of reading material this month! 😉 Lol!
I have Praying With Jane (which I’m currently reading) and Unwrapping Mr. Darcy (which I’ll be reading and reviewing soon)!
So true! There are a lot of great choices this month! I am looking forward to hearing what you think about those two reads!
Wow, what a list!! Thank you, Meredith, for tracking them all for us!! You rock!! 😀
Happy All Hallow’s Eve!!
Warmly,
Susanne 🙂
Happy to, Susanne! I’m happy to hear you enjoy this list!
Wow it’s some great books you’ve listed there Meredith! Right now I’m reading ‘Rational Creatures’ and I’ve got ‘Unwrapping Mr Darcy’ and ‘Fitzwilliam Darcy Traitor’ to read next on my Kindle! I’m a happy girl!!! 😀
So true, Elaine! Thank you to all the authors for their lovely releases this month! 🙂
Ooh! I hope you are loving Rational Creatures as much as I did! And great choices for what you will read after that. 🙂 Definitely a great line up!
Thanks for a refresh on my reading list. I’ll be jumping on Unwrapping Mr Darcy tout suite!
That’s great! I am very excited to see how many people are interested in that book! Yay!
Also, thank you for including an MM variation. I read quite a bit of MM fanfiction in the Sherlock Holmes and John Watson universe and have a great appreciation for that author community . It’s great to give air space and support to these alternative offerings.
Oh good! I’m glad to hear that. 🙂 I try to make sure all offerings are included.
I officially give up! With so many, I shall read books from authors I know already and trust will not disappoint. However, I will keep an open mind about the books you review for new authors. 🙂 Thanks for the list though. 🙂
I think that is a good plan! I too will definitely read more from the authors I am already familiar with and do some research for any others. 🙂 Happy reading!
Thanks for another fabulous list, Meredith! Yep, definitely time to start our Christmas wish lists :))
So true, Joana!! So many great reads are going on my list! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
What a list. There is something for everyone. I already own several, have even more on my wish-list and some I am curious about. Well done Meredith… say hello to Mr. Bingley.
Thanks so much for checking out this list, Jeanne! I am glad you enjoy the variety!
I love that you include box sets Meredith, more to read.
Oh good! I am glad to hear that. 🙂 Thanks so much!
Whew! I think I want to stick my head in the ground for awhile. If I could just secret myself away for a few years without interruption I might actually, maybe, nah… catch up??? There’s about a handful from the list that are absolute musts, another handful of ‘hmmm….hoping for a review soon,’ and another handful that will go to the wish list but may stay there for a long time, unless I read a fantastic review.
I appreciate, but would never ask you to include the boxed sets. Since I do have such a huge wish list I am just forced to wait on books and hope someday the author will come out with the entire series in a set and give us a price break. It’s nothing against the author, or the price they are asking but sometimes when I discover an author they already have this amazing back list and in the meantime are producing more and more along with everyone else. What am I blathering on about? Everyone else is in the same boat. Thanks as always, Mistress Blog Queen.
LOL! I can relate to that feeling! 🙂 And a very smart way to divide the list up…I would say that maybe that helps you feel less overwhelmed by it, but I am guessing even the list of books that are absolute musts might be a little long! If only reading could be a full-time job!!
Thanks so much for the feedback about boxset! I don’t mind at all including them…I just wanted to make sure others wanted to see them on this list. 🙂
Ay, yi, yi! That is a lot. I’ve read two and have two more on the wish list. I will be adding three now. LOL
Tough call about the boxed sets. I think how much time it would take to post these if you’ve already posted them as single releases would be the factor. 🙂
Love your lists! I always find something new to me. Happy Halloween, Meredith!
LOL! Glad to hear that you found some new books to add to your wishlist! 🙂
It isn’t too much time to add them, thank you so much for being so kind to be concerned about that.
Hope you enjoyed a lovely Halloween, my friend!!!
I’ve read the new Leenie Brown – Assessing Mr Darcy which I enjoyed immensely. I would love to read Rational Creatures and the Jann Rowland book as well as quite a few others. Thank you for the list.
That is great to hear about Leenie’s book. 🙂 And I definitely recommend Rational Creatures – I loved it!!!
Thanks for the list Meredith. This helps me update my wishlist
Awesome! So glad you found the list helpful!
I’d say there was a lot of Darcy in October and I only read 4 of them. The list is never ending and the months compound. Oh for a relaxing vacation filled with lots of reading!
You can never have too much Darcy, right? 😉 Yes!! It would be so great to have a vacation and just read!!
So far I’ve read Bitterness of Spirit, Fitzwilliam Darcy Traitor and Unwrapping Mr Darcy (plus I have read the books in the Rose Fairbanks and P o Dixon collections)
I have several others on my list with Rational Creatures at the top.
Thank you so much Meredith, I love your lists whatever you include.
Great choices, Glynis! I know you will love Rational Creatures!!! Happy reading!! Thanks so much for your kind words about these lists!
