Hi friends! I hope everyone is enjoying a lovely start to their month! For us March was very busy with two travel trips! Our first trip was to Austin, Texas for a long weekend in the beginning of them month (just for the fun of it!) and our second trip (which we are still on our way home from at the moment!) was to England and Ireland for Spring Break.
I’ll share more about the England/Ireland trip in a later post. 🙂
In Austin, Texas (how dare they spell it wrong!?!) we had a grand time eating tacos for practically every meal (even breakfast!) and learning about the city through segway and bike tours.
We took 3 tours in all and they were super fun and informative. Even when we got caught in the rain!
I’m afraid other than planning and preparing for these two trips we really didn’t have that much else going on in March! (But trust me, the planning and preparing took up a lot of time!!)

Thank you, Denise! We did. But it is great to be home and have our normal lives and routines.
You guys look like you’re having a wonderful time. Yes, I agree… how dare they misspell Austen… I mean… really??? Those tacos really looked delicious. Yum… y’all have the best pictures. You have a busy reading month ahead of you. I have my ‘Someone Else Pick it for Me” reading choice. I had a grouping listed and that will be the 3 Memory books by Linda Wells. So… I need to get started on that. I keep being tempted by new and shiny. But, I have time. We are experiencing high winds today with severe storms expected tonight. April has not been nice to this tornado alley region in the past. So we are not looking forward to it. Blessings to you Meredith and say hello to Mr. Bingley for us. It looks like he is taking good care of you and we appreciate him for that. Rest my friends… that jet lag is a bear…

I am not on FB so cannot praise the photos other than those here. Fantastic that you were able to do both trips. I have read Ditching Mr. Darcy and won Cake & Courtship during the blog tour but have not yet received it. But I do look forward to reading it. I also read Lover’s Knot and enjoyed that. I want to read Green Card, also. Looking forward to reading your reviews.
When we lived in Texas we enjoyed a lot of Mexican food…but never had tacos for breakfast. Is that avocado on those? We couldn’t find Philadelphia Steak Sandwiches or Pizza there. They had chicken steak sandwiches. We always said someone could make a fortune opening a restaurant near the University with those foods. I am sure that they now have those as that was back in the ancient days of 1969 to 1971.
Someone got your vibe Sheila. They’ve got sandwich places galore, food trucks are also huge with every cuisine you could ask for. Pizza? It’s everywhere. And oh my gosh yes, breakfast tacos!!! 🙂

Yes, the tacos were amazing! And breakfast tacos were such big thing there. The one I had was avocado, egg, cheese, pico de gallo, and cilantro – loved it!!
Michelle is right, the food truck scene is very diverse there and the place is just pouring with interesting and delicious food!

We were lucky to not have too much rain in Ireland, and on one very important day we had gorgeous sun and blue skies!

LOL! Yes, it was so fun to visit Grafiti Park, but I hear that it may not be around for much longer. And lol! We ate at Torchy’s twice, and would have happily eaten there more except I wanted to try some other taco places. 🙂

Yes, I’m not sure I’d like to do two trips in the same month again, but we wanted to take advantage of the week off of school for my job and we had an airline voucher about to expire. 😉 Cannot wait for you to take your trip!!!
Sorry Guys, Austin is named after Stephen F. Austin, considered ‘The Father of Texas,’ so you gotta take it up with a dead guy. 🙁
But guess what Austin was called before it was named after Austin……Waterloo. Hmmm
