Readers’ Choice Vote + Giveaway!!!

Hi friends!  I’m gearing up for one of my favorite posts of the year and I would love your help!

2018 is just around the corner, and my very first post for the year will be a list.  You know I love making lists!  This list is special and it is one I make every year!  It is a list of all my favorite books I’ve read for the year.  As you might have seen, I’ve had some fun over the years making these lists of ‘favorites’ and having some fun graphics made that look like pretty awards!

But last year I realized that it would be much more fun to make this list with the help of you lovely readers!  So I asked readers to participate in a write-in vote for 3 favorites new releases from the year 2016.  And 3 very special books got well-deserved recognition as the Readers’ Choice Favorites.

I’d like to ask for your help again this year.

Would you please consider voting for your 3 favorite Austenesque books released during 2017?

All you have to do is fill out the form below!

  • You can pick up to 3 favorites (picking 1 is just too impossible, right!)
  • Remember in order for your vote to count the book has to have been released in 2017.

~ GIVEAWAY TIME ~

After voting, leave a comment here telling me that you voted (you don’t have to say what you voted for, the voting is anonymous!) and you will be entered in a drawing to win 1 of the 3 Readers’ Choice Favorites in paperback!  (winner’s choice!)

We won’t know what the options are until the votes are tallied and shared!

  • This giveaway is open internationally.
  • This giveaway ends December 31st.

Thank you so much for your time!!

~~~
And lest we not forget…today happens to be a very special day!
What are you doing to celebrate?
I’m hoping to pop-in at a virtual party on Facebook hosted by Caroline Jane Knight and Alison Larkin!
Doesn’t it sound fun?  Maybe I’ll see you there! 😉
  1. I love your lists! I’ve voted for my favorites and I’m looking forward to seeing the final results. Thank you for all the hard work you put into making this blog so informative and entertaining.
  2. I voted for my three(3) very favorite Austenesque books! Thanks for this
    giveaway. Happy Christmas and New
    Year!
  3. Thank you for allowing us to choose 3, but even that was very difficult!!! I had at least 6 others I wanted to add! Thank you though for the very generous giveaway!!! Can’t wait to see wait to see the results!
  4. Just re-read my last sentence…should be “Can’t wait to see what the results are!” Happy Birthday Jane!
  5. #ILoveBestOfListSeason so many wonderful books throughout the year and it is such wonderful way to remember our favorites!
    I’ll be at a swimmeet all weekend — celebrating Jane’s 242 virtually — as long as my phone stays charged. Yikes!
    1. Thanks, Christina! I always enjoy making the best of list for AR. It is fun to recognize some books that were very special to me!
      Hope you enjoy a lovely day! Good luck to Ellary in her swimmeet!
  6. This was like trying to pick your favorite child! There are so many worthy books that it was definitely hard to choose. Cannot wait to see the readers’ results.
  7. Tough challenge for me because I tend to read older books, but I came up with three and voted. What fun! Thanks for setting this up!
  8. Fun to be a part of your Best of List process making. Huh, I discovered that I actually didn’t read as many new releases as I thought I did this year and fit in many older or last year ones. But, I still remember a couple gems that I read. 🙂
    1. Thank you, Sophia! I do appreciate so much all the votes and support! I think it really helpful to see not just my favorites, but the favorites of other readers as well! Good for you for getting some of your older released books off your TBR pile this year! Hope to do more of that myself next year!
  9. I voted… man that was tough. I’ve read some pretty incredible books this year. I hated to put one over another. I can’t wait to see what the #1 book will be. Thanks for hosting this contest Meredith. You and Mr. Bingley are awesome. Blessings to you guys.
    1. Thank you, Jeanne! I appreciate it so much! 😉 I love hearing about books you all have read and recommend! Thank you for the lovely words! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
  10. I’ve voted, too but found choosing just three exceedingly difficult. Looking forward to seeing the results – should make for fascinating reading.
    1. I feel so bad if everyone is finding it difficult. Maybe I should do differently next year? Would 5 books be better to write-in? Or 10? Thank you so much for voting, Anji! I greatly appreciate it!
  11. I voted! I can’t wait to see what the results will be (there are so many books from 2017 I haven’t read yet, this is a great way to see which ones I should start with asap!
  12. I have read 280 books this year, so far, some published and some not. My problem is…what are our choices? I would have to research that first. I did read and loved the three you posted above.
  13. Voted! But I’m feeling guilty for not reading the remaining total of 2017 books in my TBR. Maybe one of those might have made the top 3 list….like everyone said, very hard.
      1. Uh oh. What a question. If you’d given me five choices I might have felt a little better. But five wouldn’t have been enough for some others, in fact for Sheila L. Majczan I don’t think twenty would’ve been enough. So…..we’ll just have to suffer. Ha. More choices, more agony. Keep it a pretty short list. But we all just want our fave authors to have a chance. You do such great work, Meredith, you must be very tech savvy.
  14. Three??? Just three? What a hard task you set. I have voted and am only sorry I can’t vote again .I can’t wait to see the results.
  15. I voted! I read a lot of books this year, but I didn’t read as many 2017 books as I thought. Your list should help me add to my TBR list.
  16. Just voted! Do hard to choose just three… can’t wait to see the results! Thanks for your lists throughout the year as always!
  17. I voted! I look forward to seeing the results! I recently discoveredthis blog and I enjoy finding information about quality JAFF books!
      1. I think you don’t need to change the voting, even if it’s a challenge to choose a limited number of books. I’m sure we can deal with it, and hopefully the results will show the best ones if we have to really pinpoint the ones we loved best!
  18. Thank you for the great giveaway! I have not read a lot of 2017 Austenesque Books but I have a read a few and voted for my 3 favorites from this year. Most of the books I read this year were published in previous years. I have so many 2017 books still on my TBR list and look forward to seeing which books win.
