  1. Ha ha, I’m saying, “Darcy, Darcy, Darcy” in my head, like “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” I’m interested in “The Prime of Miss Jane Austen.” I like that the author has used the newly-discovered (and disputed) portrait of Austen for the cover. I love the expression on the woman’s face on that picture, whether it’s really Austen or not.

    1. LOL! So true! I can’t keep all the Darcy titles straight to save my life! Yes, that one did look interesting!

      1. I went ahead and got it. It’s not a HEA romance of course, it’s Jane’s real life. If you love 18th century dialogue, as I do, this book is very well done. The author is spot on with her dialogue. She made Jane Austen into a very human, relatable person.

        1. That’s great, Lona! I like stories where Jane Austen is a main character. 🙂 That’s great that the author did a good job with writing in Jane Austen’s voice and capturing her spirit.

  2. I have read: A Man with Faults, Darcy vs Elizabeth (rereading it in the published form to write a review), Darcy’s Honor (have to write that review), just bought Longbourn: Dragon Entail, Mr. Darcy’s Match, Practical Engagements and Time’s Up, Mr. Darcy. One of these only rated a 1 star from me, sadly. So many new authors and I see a few I will avoid as they imply a lot of sex scenes. Thank you, as always, Meredith, for all the hard work you put into compiling these lists. Well Done.

    1. I always love hearing what you read, Sheila, as our tastes seem to mostly coincide. 🙂 I’m sorry to hear that one of your recent reads was disappointing, but I know you sharing your views on that book will help other readers out!

      1. Thank you for the compliment…I highly regard all your reviews also. Yes, I hate to rate a book low but if we aren’t honest in our reviews, others will come to disregard them.

  3. OMG!! I had no idea there were so many published… wow! How on earth did you find all these? You are amazing… or did Mr. Bingley help? It is awesome that you have this list for us. I’ve seem some of them as I cruise Amazon, but not this many. I am stunned. Thanks for all that you do for us. Have a blessed day. JWG

    1. It is staggering, isn’t it? Amazon deserves all the credit! LOL! Mr. Bingley provided his sweet company while I worked on the lists. 😉 I enjoy making the lists, I’m glad they are helpful to others!

  4. I’ve read and loved A Man With Faults, and have 6 or 7 on my must be read list including Darcy’s Honor.
I’ve checked the rest and again some including a series of several books are barely 20 pages so I wont bother with those.
Thanks for this list Meredith, I will definitely be checking a few others out more.

    1. The two you mentioned are two I plan to read in the next few months. 🙂 It seems a majority of those stories are only published as ebooks, so I’m not sure I will be able to read any of those, myself.

Hope you have a happy reading month!

  5. Hi Meredith! I can’t believe it! 63!.LOL. And I am curious about some of them like Victoria Kincaid’s, “Mayhem and Muslin”(a mystery!), “Darcy va Bingley”(a drama or a trial? ) and Maria Grace’s dragon (fantasy? ). And I love the cover of “A better impression ” with those beautiful blue flowers.
Yes, April went fast but not my readings! 🙂

    1. I know! The number is growing each month! Glad so many caught your eye! I love mysteries, if you do read Mayhem and Muslin do let us know if you liked it! I agree that is a very attractive cover!

  6. Thank you again! I checked out some of the authors I never heard of and unfortunately, their stories are extremely short and for the price, I am not willing to bother. The sensual/intimate do not interest me either. I am interested in a number of the others and have bought several already (Maria Grace, Jane Odiwe, Leenie Brown, Catherine Bilson, Melanie Rachel, Victoria Kincaid, Lory Lilian). I am intrigued with Barbara Silkstone’s new book too!

    1. My pleasure, Carole. I am kind of in the same boat. I want to say majority of these books are only in ebook, so I can’t add them to my wishlist just yet. But I am glad to hear that there are many other books that do interest you!

  7. There is just no way, LOL. I think I’ll get to a couple of these, but yeah, no way to keep up. And so many look fabulous. I’ve got two of them so hopefully those two will get read.

Thanks so much for doing the release list, Meredith.

    1. I know! I think if anyone could do it would be you or Sheila! 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful month of reading, Sophia!

  8. The numbers continue to mount each month, don’t they? Thanks for seeking these out for us Meredith – I hate to think how many hours it must take.

I’ve only read two of them so far: Darcy’s Honor by Victoria Kincaid and Longbourn:Dragon Entail by Maria Grace – both excellent reads and I can highly recommend them to you and all of my JAFF friends.

I’ve got Searching for Mr. Tilney on my TBR List and those by Lory Lilian, Barbara Silkstone, Ginna Thomas and, of course, David Shapard are on my Wish List. As Sheila also indicates, anything with the words “sensual” or “intimate” attached to them won’t get a look in with me, as I can’t see the point in reading a book simply for the sex scenes.

    1. I think they are…I’m a little nervous! Pretty soon I won’t be able to keep up! So glad to hear that the two you read were wonderful reads! 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Searching for Mr. Tilney looks wonderful! I hope you enjoy any of your other reads this month!

  9. Goodness me, that’s amazing! If only I could read them all. Many thanks for telling us about them, Meredith. Congrats to all the authors for the new releases, I can’t wait to read as many as I can.

    1. Hi Joana! It is amazing! So glad there is so much love for Jane Austen and so many authors who like to keep busy! 😉 Hope you get to enjoy many wonderful reads!

  10. Thank you for these monthly emails – I look forward every month to going through the list and choosing which ones appeal to me. Four this time immediately caught my eye.

    1. I’m so glad to hear that, Kath! It makes all the time spent working on it worth it! 🙂 I’m glad to hear you find the lists helpful!

  11. I’ve read thirty-one of these. In my opinion, the balance were not P&P, too expensive for the length of the book, or too non-canon or trashy to consider in relationship to Jane Austen’s writing. Instead of purchasing those, I just had to rely on some of the oldies, but goodies.

  12. So many books. So little time. One of the drawbacks to writing is that you don’t have as much free time to read as you would like. When I finally retire I shall have a whole Kindle full of books to read! Your reviews help me figure out which ones I really have to have!

    1. That is a drawback. But we are so grateful for the time you put into writing your fabulous stories! 🙂

  13. Goodness me! So many new books. I’ll be honest though, I only fancy a few of them. Thank you for taking the time to compile this post!

    1. With so many options you can be selective. 😉 Hope you enjoy so great reads this month, Ceri!

  14. Seems a pity that most of these books are about Elizabeth and Darcy. I am more interested in the other characters, and also the other books that Miss Austen wrote.

    1. Usually there is a small handful books that are about other characters or Jane Austen’s other books, but this month seems to not include many. I love reading those kinds of books too!
