Austenesque ARC Giveaway #9!

Austenesque ARC

Well isn’t this a fun way to start the month!!

A couple weeks ago I was contacted by Jean, an avid JAFF reader and friend to this blog, who was in the process of paring down her book collection.  She asked if it would be okay if she sent me some of her books in case I wanted to read them and/or help them find new homes.

I gladly said yes to such a generous offer and, I tell ya, it felt like Christmas when I saw two boxes full of Austenesque books arrive at my door! 😀  Oh my!!! So many books!

Jean has an awesome collection and while I found several that I haven’t read and don’t own, there were a couple dozen left for me to find new homes for…so that’s what I’m doing today!

You may remember that I have a reoccurring giveaway on my blog I like to call the Austenesque ARC Giveaway.  Well, for the next several Austenesque ARC Giveaways a good number of the books will be coming from Jean’s collection! Thank you, Jean!

All books are in gently used/like new condition.  I am adding one ARC (The Perfect Bride for Mr. Darcy) and one book I happen to have a second copy of – Dear Mr. Darcy – from my collection to this giveaway.

The Man Who Loved Pride and Prejudice by Abigail Reynolds

Mr. Darcy Presents His Bride by Helen Halstead

Still A Young Man by P.O. Dixon

The Other Mr. Darcy by Monica Fairview

Dear Mr. Darcy by Amanda Grange

Mr. Darcy’s Promise by Jeanna Ellsworth

The Perfect Bride for Mr. Darcy by Mary Simonsen

Darcy and Anne by Judith Brocklehurst

  14. How kind of both of you. If I was lucky enough to win I would love Abigail Reynolds The Man Who Loves Pride and Prejudice please. This is the only one of Abigail’s books that I don’t have.

  15. How lovely! I am just checking in to say ‘Hello,’ as I haven’t commented in such a long time. I’m soooo behind in my emails….just pitiful. 🙁 I am going to pass on the giveaway, though there are several I’ve had on my wish list for long while. I need to read on an e-reader to enlarge the font. Such a bummer getting old, 😛
But I just had to comment on the generosity and wish everyone could get the books they wish for! Good luck everyone.

    1. I have the free kindle app on my PC so I can open books and enlarge the font. I copy and paste and enlarge the font on book from forums online. I usually tell the author I am doing that and it is only for reading purposes. I didn’t need glasses until I hit 40 but now I wear them all my awake hours. Don’t get old it the lesson…LOL

      1. Hey, thanks for the tip Sheila! Yes, I do know that I’m in the same boat with a ka-zillion other folks re glasses and increasing strength lens needs. But sometimes it just sucks. :/

Remember they always say regarding getting old: It beats the alternative.

  16. Ooh, thanks to Generous Jean (I’ve been working on NICE monikers to brand people with) for this faboo giveaway! I have been feeling hideously remiss for never having read any Abigail Reynolds or P. O. Dixon, and would love to be entered for those. And my appreciation to Marvelous Meredith for putting this on!

  17. Thanks for this lovely giveaway.

    1. Hi Mariam! I hope you are doing well! It is amazing how generous people are! I love the idea of these books being passed along from one avid JAFF reader to another! 🙂 I am so glad you have a little bit of reading time!

      1. I am doing fine I was busy this year mostly due my thesis and competitive exams and now I am busy looking for infos. Yes, it gives a personal story to the book, because it belonged to someone else who loved and felt emotions. And we new owner of the book add our part of the emotions and story. Besides, it is green to share a book instead of killing more trees though I am aware that it is less money for the author, which is a downside.
Yes, I am, currently I am trying to finish “Consequences” by C P Odom, that I started a long time ago XD. I hope you are enjoying your new house (following ur fb page) and keep enjoying readings books
