Austenesque ARC Giveaway #7!

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for some time than you know that my bookcase is pride and joy, and one of my favorite things to do is clean and re-organize my bookshelves (something I need to do at least 3 times a year!)

This may be the very last bookshelf cleaning session we will have for awhile.  After a crazy couple of weeks, Mr. Bingley and I have made the decision to move out our rented home for the next couple of months!  (It’s a long story, will share in my next Austenesque Agenda!)  Suffice to say, I will be leaving behind this lovely built-in bookcase!  I’ve been so lucky to have such a perfect place to house all my books!  But as you can see, my collection has grown a lot and I’m now in need of something bigger!!!

My bookcase six years ago when we first moved in!

Hopefully our next home (the first one we will be buying!) will have a built-in bookcase.  Maybe something like this…

A girl can dream, right? 😉

So here comes the fun part…(Although to be honest I find the whole spending hours amongst my books to be so. much. fun.)  I have 5 books that are in the need of new homes!

  1. Hi Meredith, such a shame to be leaving that beautiful bookcase behind, but it would be awesome to have a book nook or something at the new house!

I have all these books as ebooks with the exception of the Jean Burnett one, which I have a feeling is published under a different title here in the UK, something like ‘Who Needs Mr Darcy?’ (silly question!) so I’d like to enter for that one please 🙂

  2. Hello Meredith! It’s always a shock when I see how my bookshelf is growing…And now I see I’m not the only one! XD I love the characters near the books! I think that the bookshelf show exactly who you are! I’d like to read The bad Miss Bennet and Mr Darcy’s undoing…thank you for your generosity!

  3. How generous, Meredith! I have several of these on my Kindle, but would love the opportunity to read Austensibly Ordinary or The Bad Miss Bennet as neither is familiar to me.

  4. Love to have Mr. Darcy’s Undoing by Abigail Reynolds.
Love the white bookcases with the large window – I showed the photo to my husband and hinted about him transforming a small bedroom but the response was not promising

  5. Hi Meredith, can’t wait to hear your news about moving out your rented house and hopefully into a new house. If you could have a white book nook like the one above, it would be paradise! Good luck with the move and thank you for the offer of the books too. I have a couple of these and not keen on modern versions. Thanks x

  6. Oh, I would also want the beautiful white book cases with nook to gaze outside. As I have the other books, I would like Austensibly Ordinary and secondly, The Bad Miss Bennett. Thank you for clearing out your bookshelves!

  7. I hope you get the bookshelfs you want in your next home. That’s is a requirement for our next home. Any of the books would be awesome to own thanks for the giveaway!!

  8. I hope your new home will have built-in bookcases, Meredith! (Notice I used the plural! :)) I would hate to let go of the beautiful one you currently have.
Thanks for the giveaway! I would be interested in The Bad Miss Bennet! What a great selection of books that need a new home! 🙂

  9. Thanks for the giveaway! I would be interested in all but FD Rockstar as o already have it.

Can’t wait for the move news 🙂 That book nook area would be heaven!

  10. I so want a book nook window seat…..it would be heaven…Thanks for the chance to win…have read a few of these…would like Compulsively Mr Darcy or Mr Darcys Undoing..Thanks again..

  11. Congrats on getting a new place! Hopefully you’ll have a nice book shelf or build one to your heart’s desire… I would love any of the books, but would prefer Compuslively Mr. Darcy or Fitzwilliam Darcy Rock Star. Thanks again for the giveaways and good luck on your move.

  12. I would like to enter for Fitzwilliam Darcy Rock Star. thanks for the fun giveaway. Best wishes on your upcoming move. Yes, you need lots and lots of lovely bookcases!

  13. Your bookcase is so beautiful! Thank you for the giveaway. I would love Austensibly
Ordinary or The Bad Miss Bennet.

  14. Oh, I so want that book shelf nook area. Even looking at it made me start day dreaming:) Thank you for sharing your overflow of JA books. I would love to add Mr. Darcy’s Undoing to my shelf. Happy day to you!

  15. Meredith, it’s great to hear that you’ll be buying a new home instead of renting. I hope you’ll find your dream library but if not, you can still have it built. Trouble is moving out is such a hassle that I prefer not to do it but to spend time doing what I love. All the best!

Thank you for your generosity. I would really really like to have Alyssa Goodnight’s Austensibly Ordinary. It’s been in my wish list for so long.

  16. Congrats on your move! Hubby and I moved from Tennessee back home to NC about 6 weeks ago, so I know what you’re going through. 🙂

I’d love to win The Bad Miss Bennet. Thanks for the giveaway!

  17. Gorgeous built in shelving! I can see why you’re sad to leave it behind, but as you say, maybe the next will be bigger and better. 😉

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. I would be interested in winning Mr. Darcy’s Undoing or Austensibly Ordinary.

  18. Good luck on your move! I hope you find your perfect book shelves. I would love to win The Bad Miss Bennet by Jean Burnett. Thank you for having another give-away.

  19. I love books and bookshelves but hate moving them!!
    Best of luck!

I would love to win Austensibly Ordinary by Alyssa Goodnight

  20. My fervent wish for you is that your new home has those built-ins you dream of, (and come on…you basically REQUIRE them!) OR, that there is the ideal place to have them built later. All of your fans here collectively desire the same for you…with all those positive vibes how can there be any doubt you will get those shelves? Because we all want you to continue the wonderful job you are doing. 🙂

I would love to receive any of the books you are offering except, (I hate myself for saying this) the modern variation. 🙁 I’m so bad.

  21. Thank you for the chance to win. I have all except The Bad Miss Bennett and Austensibly Ordinary. I wish you luck in finding a new home for all your books in your new house.. I have a big bookshelf myself and would need two if not for ebooks.

  22. Book shelves around a window seat…that is my idea of happiness! I know you will find loving homes for all of your books. Fitzwilliam Darcy Rock Star and Compulsively Mr Darcy are the only ones there that I have not read. I would be pleased to give either some space on my nightstand. Thank you for the chance to win!

  23. I’ve recently had to change my bookshelf book staking from vertical to horizontal to fit more books in. It made me smile to see your bookshelf change that way too! I’d love to go into the draw for any of the books but I haven’t read Compulsively Mr. Darcy by Nina Benneton so that would be my first choice. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity 🙂

  24. Hope all goes well with your move – good luck! I’d love a chance to win The Bad Miss Bennett or Mr. Darcy’s Undoing. Those are both my to-read list! Thank you!!

  25. I have always wanted my very own library, but I make do with a few over stuffed book shelves. Like you I go through and reorganize but I usually end up distracted by some well loved story. I would have a hard time parting with my friends but since you are willing to do so, I would love to give a new home to Compulsively Mr. Darcy or The Bad Miss Bennet. Thank you so much for sharing. Can’t wait to hear more about your move.

  26. What a fantastic place for your books! Think I would need more space. I would love to have any of the selections up for grabs. I have a few and love all things Austen. Any of the titles would be comfy here.

  27. I am a first time vistor to your site but have kept up with a couple of other Austen sites, I would like Austensibly Ordinary and The Bad Miss Bennet.

  28. Meredith, I will pass on the giveaway, but I just had to let you know how much I coveted the white bookcases and how fast my husband said, “NO!” when I showed it to him. He did have a bit of a twinkle when he said it because about an hour later he asked if I was serious and then suggested that we might be able to do something like it in the spare room. I LOVE that man! I will need more books! Such a problem.

  29. Dear Meredith, I love your bookcase and understand why you hate to leave it. The window seat surrounded by white bookcases is any book lover’s dream!! Thank you for cleaning out and offering your followers a chance to win a book. I already have Abigail Reynolds’ book, but would love to win any of the others.
Thanks for the giveaway and best of luck with your move and search for a home of your own.

  30. The only one I haven’t read is “Mr. Darcy’s Undoing”, and I would love to have a copy.

I wish you more bookcases and bookshelves than you know what to do with! Good luck with whatever move comes next.

    And thanks.

  31. Oh I love the bookshelf! Hopefully you can find or build something just as lovely in your new home.
If you can bear to part with it, I would love a copy of Mr. Darcy’s Undoing by Abigail Reynolds!

  32. That is a nice shelf. But the second one is my dream library too. I would like to read “The Bad Miss Bennet” and “Mr Darcy’s Undoing”. Thank you for the giveaway.

  33. What a lovely bookcase! Best wishes for your new home (and new bookcases! 😀 ).
I’d like to read “Austensibly Ordinary” or “Compulsively Mr. Darcy”.
    Thank you very much!!

  34. Okay, if you get that sort of a book nook, we may all come to live with you. LOL I have asked for large bookshelves when we redo my dressing room/office/closet area this summer. I can hope!

I have (or have read) all of the books but wanted to covet your dream book space…

  35. Mr. Darcy’s Undoing or Austensibly Ordinary sound like fun reads. I wish my book shelves were as well organized as yours. They are spread about the TV/living/craft room and the overflow inhabits boxes throughout the house and garage.

  36. I would love to have a built-in bookcase!! 😀 And I’m very happy for you, Meredith! Hope your new “first” house is wonderful and that you can have a huge space for all your books! 😉
Thanks for your generosity! If I win, I’d love to read Austensibly Ordinary or Compulsively Mr. Darcy or Mr. Darcy’s Undoing.

  37. The bookcase you’re leaving behind is lovely, Meredith, but the picture of that book nook has me drooling all over this iPad! Sadly, my recently renovated study doesn’t have any proper windows, as it’s a converted loft space with sloping ceilings that come down to waist height. I do have a bookcase made from a converted drop-front bureau but I have a feeling it won’t be big enough for very long.

I’d love to be entered for any of the books please.

  38. I Would like Austensibly ordinary Mr Darcys undoing or compulsively Mr. Darcy.

I love your book shelf! I hope to one day have something similar.

  39. Looking forward to hearing more about your upcoming adventure. I’d like to put my name in for Mr Darcy’s Undoing. Thanks for the chance to read it.

  40. I would love any of them but the one of Abigail Reynolds (I already have it 🙂 )
I have read the description of all of them on Amazon and I love all of them ^^ I think I will prefer: The Bad Miss Bennet or Compulsively Mr Darcy… I am sorry I cannot choose only one!!
i also want to know more about your new library, I would love to have a library like Pemberly´s!
Thank you for doing this giveaway.

  41. That’s a beautiful bookcase you have—it looks so spacious!

I’d love to try reading Austensibly Ordinary , or Fitzwilliam Darcy Rock Star. Those titles sound intriguing 🙂 .

Thank you, and good luck with your move!

  42. What a beautiful bookcase you are leaving behind, but perhaps, you will have a cozy book nook in your new home. Any of the regency books would be of interest to me. Thank you for the generous offer, Meredith.

  43. I would live to win any of them!!! I just found this Facebook page today through following J Klassen. Thanks for the opportunity!!
