Austenesque ARC Giveaway #5!

Is it weird that one of my favorite things to do over time off from holiday breaks is to clean, organize, go through our belongings, and remove things from my house?!?

What did I do over Christmas break? Clean and reorganize my bookcase!

If you have been a reader of this blog awhile, than you know that whenever I go through my bookcase (seems to be occurring every 6 months!) that it means something good for you, my readers!  As I’ve told you in previous ARC giveaways, even though the ARCs I receive are in such nice condition and usually include a gorgeous cover picture, I like to own the real thing and eventually purchase copies for myself…

Instead of showing you the “before” and “after” shots of the bookcase like I’ve done in the past, I thought I’d show you some of my “stacks.” Most of my books are in stacks in order to optimize room on the shelves. And as you will see, I group my books by publisher, then by author.  🙂

  5. Is it selfish to say that I would welcome any of these books into my collection? I hope not! And don’t think you are strange for wanting to organize your house during Christmas break. I do the same every year while we are out of school! I actually get more done during that break than all of Summer break! 🙂 Thank s for the giveaway!

  6. Prada and Prejudice looks unique and Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma is delightful. Thanks for your great selection and giveaway.

  7. I would like to help you “clean up” and take one of those books from your stack. The Three Colonels (Caldwell) would look good on my bedside table. Thanks for spreading the love!!

  9. I have to organize my shelves at least once a year to make room for new books and removing some is what it takes to fit them all. So hard, but rewarding too. Thanks for putting up your ARCs and used books for a giveaway. I’m interested in Longbourn, Cassandra & Jane and Prada & Prejudice.

  10. Would love any of the books. I am so jealous of your book stacks since mine are all ebooks. Nobody took my not so subtle hint of books for Xmas presents 😛 Have a great weekend!

  11. Would love any, but Longbourn or The Three Colonels (don’t you just love what Jack Caldwell does with these characters?) would be delightful!

  14. Hi Meredith, thanks for the opportunity! I’d love any of the books except Longbourn – and only because I’ve already read and LOVED it. Cheers and have a great weekend. elaine489(at)gmail(dot)com

  15. I would love the opportunity to read Longbourn. I have read most of the others in this list and loved every moment. Smiles….I can hardly wait until you get to the Merton press section! Wahoo! I need at least 5 of those books! I love when you reorganize. By publisher hmmm. Now that’s a new thought for me. I’ve done by author, then by title, then by read or not, now I have a bit of each – by genre, author, title & 2 special tbr stacks by title & number of pages….in case I need a quick read. Thanks for all your work.

  16. Thanks for cleaning off your bookcase! 🙂
I’d love: Three Colonels by Jack Caldwell or Longbourn by Jo Baker or Cassandra and Jane by Jill Pitkeathley or Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma by Rebecca Smith or Dancing with Mr. Darcy edited by Sarah Waters or Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard.

  17. Happy 2014! I love your stacks hehe 🙂 I would love to win either Longbourn by Jo Baker or Prada and Prejudice by Mandy Hubbard. Thank you for the giveaway!

  19. I would like to have Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma by Rebecca Smith as it is the only book I don’t own or have read. Thanks for offering them, Meredith.

  20. How fun to see your neat stacks. I have the same storrage space saving technique Meredith. You can get way more books in the same bookcase. I’m a little envious at all the great titles in the pictures 😉 Many are still on my wishlist 😀 I would love love love to read one of these 3 books, in random order =

    Cassandra and Jane
    Longbourne
    Three Colonels

So please count me in, thank you!

  21. I think you’re the most generous person in the whole world, Meredith!! My bookcase is a total mess 🙂 I should organize it as you did! Thank you for this chance!
I’d love to win “Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma” or “Cassandra and Jane”. Thanks!!

  22. You’re so much better at all the cleaning & organizing than I am! 😉 LOL
I would love to be in the drawing for: Cassandra and Jane (my favorite of the choices!), Longbourn and The Three Colonels.
Thanks for the giveaway and for the chance!

  23. What a generous lady you are Meredith! Well, I have three of these waiting to be read already, and I’ve read one of the others. So I’d like to enter for a chance to win Cassandra and Jane, Prada and Prejudice or Loungbourn please 🙂

  24. I would love to read The Three Colonels, Cassandra and Jane, or Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma.

Thank you so much for the wonderful giveaway!!!

  25. I never thought of organizing by publiser, that’s a good idea .I put by books stackly as well, but the differences is that I pile on 4 categories: novels, university books, books from library and books from middle and high school this way I can put lots of books on one corner of the shelf. 🙂 I didn’t know the word ‘stack’ before thx that !!
so now the novels..>< it is very hard to choose .. it would be hard to decide between these 3 :

    "Longbourn"

"Miss Jane Austen’s Guide to Modern Life’s Dilemma"

    "Dancing with Mr. Darcy "

  26. Wohoo! Such a shame you always find those copies to give away to us ;). I´d love to trough my name into the hat for Longbourn, Cassandra and Jane, Dancing with Mr. Darcy and Prada and Prejudice!

  27. I have very similar stacks of books on my shelf. It is very satisfying. Thank you foe this giveaway. I would love a chance to win Longbourn. Thank you

  28. I would love to read Three Colonels. I have read other books by Jack Caldwell but not this one. Thank you for the giveaway. I also love and treasure my stack of books.
