I’d like to extend a big thank you to Beth Pehlke of Sourcebooks for so kindly allowing me the opportunity to read, review, and a host a giveaway for Amy Smith’s fantastic All Roads Lead to Austen!
Thank you to all of you who stopped by to read this review and shared which country in Latin America you were most interested in visiting. I said in my comments, my choice is Colombia – since I am married to a Colombian and want to meet the rest of his family!
If you are not the lucky winner of this giveaway I entreat you to check out this book (which is available both in ebook and paperback at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
Without further ado… the randomly selected winner of All Roads Lead to Austen is… Jakki Leatherberry!!!
Jakki, when it is convenient, please email me your mailing address @ Merry816[at]aol.com!
On a side note, what did you think of the Rafflecopter widget? Like it or dislike it? It was my first time using it and I greatly appreciate your feedback!
Congrats Jakki! Happy Reading!
I do like Rafflecopter as an option.
Thanks! I appreciate you letting me know!
Congratulations Jakki!!! Enjoy!! 🙂
And I’d have to go back & look at the Rafflecopter… I don’t recall what it was? Sorry :/
It is a giveaway widget that allows you to earn more entries for giveaways. I have one in the giveaway below too.
Congratulations, Jakki!
I think I would like to try Rafflecopter. I don’t like looking through the comments for random.org.
I just noticed your reading “Rainy Days”, don’t you love it!! It’s my favorite!
Hi Candy! I tried Rafflecopter for two reasons 1. I noticed that random.org isn’t very random 2. I’ve run into some trouble trying to track winners down. Rafflecopter lets readers give me their email address and keeps it hidden at the same time.
I just met Becky! She is A-dorable! Can’t wait to read more!
Sweet! Thanks so much for the giveaway, Beth, Sourcebooks & Meredith! I’m so excited to win this! 🙂
I do like rafflecopter from the point of the one entering the giveaway. Like you already said – it gives me the possibility to give my conctact details, but I don´t have to share them with the world 😀
I like your site because you DON’T use rafflecopter 😀
I don’t have a blog, use twitter (at all) or facebook (much), so all the options other than ‘leave a comment’ irritate and distract me.
If a commenter can’t be bothered to reply to your email that they’ve won, or regularly check back to your blog to see if they’ve won, well that’s too bad for them 🙂
Thank you, Heather! I really do appreciate your feedback!
COngrats, Jakki! EnJoy!
i find the rafflecopter takes out the joy of entering comps… nothing personal about them – no interaction & no credit for all the xtra work involved to enter which is w/o doubt, time + effort consuming..
I agree! Rafflecopter is more impersonal and I’m less likely to read other people’s comments. I understand the point of having followers spread the word about a blog, but if I can get 2 points for liking on facebook and 3 points for tweating, why would I put much effort into carefully reading the post and replying in a comment if that only gets me 1 point? Plus, I’m less likely to win with only 1 point out of a possible 6, so I might not enter at all.
I realize I’m probably in the minority, though, since most people do follow on facebook and twitter etc.
Oh, congrats to Jakki of course 🙂
