Today marks the close of the Everything Austen Challenge II, hosted by the lovely Stephanie of Stephanie’s Written Word! Even though the challenge is over, this blogger will still continue to consume and review her weekly dose of Austenesque novels. Check back in two days to see the two fabulous Austensque challenges I will be paticipating in for 2011!
Here is my propsed list that I created in July:
(Click on the titles to read my reviews).
- A Truth Universally Acknowledged
- Jane Austen: Christian Encounters
- To Conquer Mr. Darcy
- Mr. Darcy Broke My Heart
- The Sense and Sensibility Screenplay and Diaries
- Mercy’s Embrace: The Lady Must Decide
- Darcy’s Voyage
- Persuading Annie
- Mr. Darcy’s Little Sister
- Anne Elliot, A New Beginning
- Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Dawn of the Dreadfuls
- Mr. Darcy’s Obsession
Out of these 12 titles I only read 10. I do plan on reading Persuading Annie and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Dawn of the Dreadfuls soon since they have been on my TBR since July!
However, I did exceed my goal of 12 books just a teensy-weensy little bit!
Here are some more Austenesque novels that were later added to my list:
- Emma and the Vampires
- Jane and the Damned
- Charlotte Collins
- Dancing with Mr. Darcy
- The Cookbook Collector
- Darcy and the Duchess
- Mr. Darcy Takes the Plunge
- 1932
- Bespelling Jane Austen
- A Darcy Christmas
- Pemberley Ranch
- Murder on the Bride’s Side
- Fire and Cross
- Trifle Bearings
How did you do on your challenges?
Wow Meredith. You put me to shame. I commend you for reaching your 12 novel goal and surpassing it.
I like you redecorating, but the dark lettering is a tad difficult to read for my old eyes!
What was your favorite read from the challenge?
Happy New Year! You’ve been very busy. And I like the new colour scheme. Green = natural. Just some of the words in black are a bit hard to read.
Fire and Cross
Thank you! I really appreciated your feedback. It was a little hard to tell if the colors were hard to read on my laptop. What do you think of the pink? Does it go well with the green?
