Interview + Giveaway with Yours Truly!

Hello my dear readers!

I have had the wonderful honor and pleasure of being interviewed (for my very first time) on a fantastic blog called FLY HIGH!  Maria Grazia of FLY HIGH! has been conducting weekly interviews with many of her “Blogger Buddies” and I am so very happy to be listed among them!  So if you are intersted in learning more about yours truly I invite you to visit Maria’s blog and read the interview for yourself.  If you are not interested in the interview I encourage you check out Maria’ blog anyway, she is a wonderful and talented blogger!

Also, there is a giveaway!  By leaving a comment on the interview you could be entered to win a copy of Jane Fairfax by Joan Aiken.  It was the first Austen-Inspired novel I read and I loved it! What was your first?

The giveaway is open internationally and will be ending Sunday, May 9th.  Best of luck!!!

  1. Congrats, Meredith! That is wonderful! Maria couldn’t find a better interviewee. I am going to hop over there right now.

My first Austen inspired book was Juliette Shapiro’s “Excessively Diverted” (which has been republished as “Mr. Darcy’s Decision”). Loved it so much it led me to a new book genre that I adore.

  2. Excellent interview! Beautiful wedding picture. My husband grew up in Valley Stream, and I grew up in North Jersey. Do you still have your accent? Or are you like my sister who moved to TX and says “draw” like a New Yorker, but also says ya’ll. LOL

  3. I have a pretty neutral accent (not really LI and not really southern, yet!) But my LI accent does come out on certain words like “daughter” and sometimes I do hear a southern inflection in my voice too! Do you have an accent, Mary?

  4. I never had a real hard NJ accent b/c my parents were from PA, and kids made fun of me b/c I sounded like them. (I used to say warshroom for washroom.) I moved to TX in 1977, so any remnant of NJ is pretty much gone, except for the occasional hard “a,” like in daughter. My husband stills says that he has good “idears.”

  5. Going to take a look at your interview! The first book that I read Austen related is only written by the author herself. Yep, I still have a lot of books on my wishlist that I want to read. I’m going to read a lot of Austen related books this summer with one of my closest friends! 🙂

  6. I loved the interview! I haven’t read many Austen-related books – do biographies count? I love the small one by Carol Shields… I’d love to read your book!
