Austenesque Agenda – September 2024

Hi friends! Happy September!

Even though August is over, I’m so glad to say that where I live – summer is not! ☀️

And I will hopefully still be able to enjoy the beach and sun plenty more before autumn comes! 😎

It was a very busy work month for me – September will be too.

But Fezzik and I made sure we got out and about on the weekends.

We went on 2️⃣ roadtrips 🛣️

Been in 4️⃣ states 🗺️

Stayed at some interesting pet-friendly lodgings… 🏡

Hiked a bunch 🥾

And went on Fezzik’s first river tube! 🏞️

How about you? What fun did you get into in August?

  1. Such a well travelled dog! Love the photos. I’m really looking forward to your posts this month. Some great authors! Enjoy!

  2. Love the photos. We traveled about 1.5 hours to celebrate our grandson’s 12th and my husband’s 79th birthday in Trinton Falls, NJ at our son’s house. We also celebrated our 56th anniversary on the 31st. Hot weather here until today when I had to turn on our heat.

    1. Just have to say congratulations to you, Sheila, on your 56th anniversary! What an amazing milestone. My husband and I will celebrate our 50th on Saturday. We will go to New Zealand and Fiji this winter for some hiking and exploring to celebrate. We’ve had a bit of a cold snap for the last week or so in the Pacific Northwest but it will warm up again tomorrow and we hope to stay fairly warm through September.

      1. Some really great milestones have been celebrated, congrats! And Meredith those cabins are awesome! Kind of like a Hobbit Hole! Too cool!

  3. What a fun August!
Accidental Beauty Queen was so much fun – can’t wait to see what you think of it 🙂 And Spellbound at Pemberley is on my fall TBR (such as it is) too! 😀

  4. Hi Meredith!
Fezzik is so cute with his own yellow life jacket!
    4 states WOW!
I was on holidays some days by the beach and the rest in Madrid. Madrid was very hot the first weeks but, later, the weather improved a little…and ice creams help a lot LOL
Your September agenda seems really fine. I’m curious about Mr Bingley’s novel (the cover looks kind of spooky) and Miss Mary investigates
    Happy September

  5. I made it from Washington, through Idaho, and into Montana, where we stayed a week and a half in a log cabin on a beautiful lake. So only 3 states for me, but that was enough. Your dog-friendly tiny homes are adorable! Thanks for sharing all the pics, Meredith!

  6. Your road trips, camping and hikes looked fun. A nice stack of books you have for this month’s reading and a fun group of guests.

    Have a great September, Meredith!
