A Green Giveaway with Quills and Quartos!!!

Hi Readers! What do you call a giveaway that takes place in between St. Patrick’s Day and the First Day of Spring? A Green Giveaway!! 💚 And that just happens to be my favorite color!

The lovely people at Quills and Quartos had this fun idea to do a special Green Giveaway to celebrate some of their beautiful green book covers and share the exciting news about their upcoming releases. 📗 💚 📗

For those days when you can’t remember the titles of your favorite JAFF stories…

Thank you for having us today Meredith and indulging us in a little spring fling fun! I don’t know about anyone else but the winter has seemed really tough this year and it is a RELIEF to see signs of green in the lawn and the garden! So we thought a Green Giveaway from three authors who will be releasing new books in April might be fun!

Jan and Amy worked together on a collaborative book with Julie Cooper and Jessie Lewis—the cover reveal for that book, A Match Made at Matlock, is happening on March 28th here at Austenesque Reviews and it will be available April 4th. So part of our Green Giveaway are two of their paperbacks – A Wilful Misunderstanding and Some Natural Importance.

Lucy Marin has a new book coming in April as well. The Marriage Bargain will be available at the end of April and the cover reveal is March 31 at Austen Variations. Her Sisterly Love is her most recent release so the lucky winner will receive a paperback copy of that.

Comment below to enter and we’ll send someone these three paperbacks plus a fun bonus I think a lot of people might enjoy!

One thing we’ve seen a lot of on Facebook these days is posts that begin with “Does anyone remember the one where Elizabeth did this…” or “Are there any stories where Darcy _____?” So when an artist who we work with on some of our covers put together this journal we really felt like our JAFF universe might like to know about it!

In the words of the author, the purpose of the The Romance Reader’s Companion is to help you set reading goals, track reading habits, plan a to-be-read list, and more. Designed to be the perfect pairing to any romance novel, you’ll fall into a love affair with each book, jotting down everything from favorite quotes to all the steamiest romantic moments, and those bits you want to remember forever.

The Romance Reader’s Companion is designed by Holly Perret and you can find it on Amazon HERE
Here is a peak of the pages you can find inside:

I love the variety and specific details you can record! I feel like this could be useful to so many readers – whether or not you write reviews. What a great way to keep track of books you want to read, authors you love, and book details (that you might not post in a review). It might also come in handy when you need to choose your favorite books at the end of the year... 😏

  1. Very clever and creative theme for a springtime give away. And a terrific selection of books. Good luck to all, and here’s to a happy spring season with better days ahead.

  2. This is such a fun give away! Quite frankly I am looking forward to both of the upcoming releases from Q&Q: A Match Made at Matlock should be a fun read (everyone will want a book with Viscount Saye), especially as it is a collaboration with phenomenal authors. Lucy Marin’s “The Marriage Bargain” has had my attention since I first learned about it. Lots to look forward to…

  3. What a great giveaway! Sign me up. I look forward to the new releases by these authors, as well; seems like I’ll have a lot to read this spring. My Type A side is also intrigued by The Romance Reader’s Companion…I always enjoy a new way to organize! Fascinating.

  4. What a fun giveaway! So excited about Lucy Marin’s new release. My only issue with the Romance reader would be not enough spaces for the sheer amount of books I read per year (over 1k).

  5. I love that organizational book! I have six note pages open on my phone and two or three Amazon tbr lists but I still loose whats up next to read and what I preordered! Love all the green covers!

  6. Green covers…fun idea! The organizer is interesting. I have tried a few different ways but frankly read so many JAFF I have just lost track.

  7. I like the idea of The Green Giveaway. The books have elements of green (stunning covers). The Romance Reader’s Companion is another clever idea, and it would be helpful. I keep wanting to write a list of the books I have read, but I never seem to do it. This would be a good reminder. Thank you for this generous giveaway, and Happy Green!

  8. What a great idea on all levels! Love the idea of The Romance Readers Companion! Plus the covers on all three books in the giveaway are gorgeous. Looking forward to the cover reveals at the end of the month as well. As for Spring, it can’t come fast enough. We still have some snow on the ground but with the rain coming this weekend, I hope to see it gone! Then again, it has been known to snow in April here! Thank you for including Canada in the giveaway!

  9. Everything about this post is amazing! Living in the teopics means I can’t relate to winter vs spring as we are about to go from sunny and hot to wet very soon (sorry friends) but I do love the green colour (it’s my favourite as well).

The books for the giveaway are great and the upcoming ones I have in my wish list.

Finally, The Romance Reader Companios is just what I need, as I’m one of those who’s constantly ssying: “I remember reading that book, can’t remember anything else “. My husband lives in the UK and we’ll be relocating there, just in case!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend. Take care and blessings.

  10. Please enter me in the giveaway! These books are already on my wish list, and I would love the chance to win one. I’m on the fence concerning the Romance Reader’s Companion. I’d probably find it more useful in a digital form, where I can type in my entries.

  11. Wow! Amazing that this is open to the U.K. as well! Especially with the price of postage nowadays. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win these fabulous books. The companion book looks amazing. Really useful for someone with such a bad memory as myself! As for the novels? I do have the ebook of Wilful Misunderstanding but I do love paperbacks! Good luck to everyone in the drawing!

  12. Lovely offer. I have read A Willful Misunderstanding but the others are on my reading list. Thank you for sharing and the companion book.

  13. I can’t wait. I have the ebooks of those three books but the companion book looks nice. I do something like this but this looks far more expanded.

  14. I really am intrigued by A Match Made at Matlock. I read that first chapter with Saye and he’s always hilarious and fun to read.
I think a paper companion book might be helpful! I do mine in digital form but maybe having some space to draw stuff from the books would be fun, especially if you’re one of those artistic folks!

  15. What a fun way to spend March! I am so looking forward to A Match Made at Matlock as the samples you have shared looks like there will be lots of fun at the house party. I have never thought of keeping track of things as the journal pages show, might be fun to explore it more.

  16. This looks like such a good giveaway! I haven’t read any of these yet but they’re all on my TBR list.

  17. What an exciting time for JAFF. I have already indulged in A Willful Misunderstanding and can’t wait to read/listen? to the others.

The Romance Reader’s Companion is beautifully designed.

  18. What a fun giveaway. Thank you so much for putting it together. So generous!! Looking forward to the new releases as well.

  19. What a generous giveaway. We’ve seen such great titles come out of Quills & Quartos publishing, a great gift for JAFF readers.

  20. It’s a lovely idea! Happy spring! Please do not enter me into the giveaway, as I already have these great books. The new releases will be loved by all, I have no doubt.

  21. I finally began a log of books I’ve read but the page quickly becomes unwieldy (I read a lot of books). Perhaps a paper log might be the way to go. Thanks for the idea, I will be checking this out. And I truly look forward to the new books coming out soon!

  22. What a win giveaway! I’m looking forward to reading all the new releases and the reader’s journal is a dream. Thanks for the giveaway!

  23. Sounds like a wonderfully fun idea!
I don’t need to be in the raffle, but wanted to take this opportunity to give a shout out to you and Q&Q for bringing so much great literature to us JAFFers!!! Thank you! <3

  24. Such a fun giveaway. Spring is my favorite season and green my favorite color.
Thanks for the chance to win.

  25. What a great way to think of a giveaway – the green. I love it. Plants are greening up here. Time to start planting. Daffodils, tulips, hyacinth etc sure make spring delightful. The book titles and descriptions sound intriguing. I don’t have any of them yet. yet. I think the journal is a great idea. I had read so many in the past it was getting confusing. I’d end up buying the same one over, start reading, realize it sounded too familiar and be irritated. I used to keep track by reviews on goodreads. Now I printed it out in a big ugly paper mass. After decades and hundreds of books read I wish I had kept a journal in the first place.
