Hi readers, I’m happy to share another of my Austenesque Top Ten lists with you today!

This list is for one of my favorite sub-genres in the Austenesque sphere, a sub-genre I like to call –Austen-Inspired novels.  Now I know all Austenesque books are inspired by Austen, but the books I place in this category are ones that are more inspired by her in general than one of her novels in particular.

These stories have original characters and storylines. They are not sequels, modern adaptations, or variations and don’t focus upon characters that resemble Jane Austen’s characters.  Oftentimes these stories center around modern-day heroines who are Janeites, read vociferously, or are in love with Mr. Darcy (definitely my kind of heroines!) 😉

I’ve read many Austen-Inspired books these past years, but here is a list of my Top Ten favorites!

This is my eighth Austenesque Top Ten list.  You can find my other Top Ten lists HERE.

* These lists are based only on the novels I have read and reviewed on this blog and are my top ten favorites.

As you may have noticed, I’ve yet to do a Pride and Prejudice specific Top Ten list. The reason for that is the fact that I’ve read a couple hundred different Pride and Prejudice inspired stories and the task of choosing just 10 was a bit daunting!

So I decided to break it up with some sub-categories – variations, sequels, and modern-adaptations.  The category for Pride and Prejudice variations was by far my largest and it would be verrrrrrrry difficult to pick only 10 favorites, so I decided to break it down further by year.

This is the first of serval lists for my favorite Pride and Prejudice inspired novels!  We are taking it way back today, to the early days of self-publishing and Pride and Prejudice printed variations with this list of my favorite Pride and Prejudice variations published in between the years 2007-2011.

This is my seventh Austenesque Top Ten list.  You can find my other Top Ten lists HERE.

So apparently one of the most popular types of posts on this blog are my top ten lists!!  That’s awesome!  I will keep ’em coming and try to post them more regularly!

Today’s Top Ten list includes my ten favorite Austenesque novels where we see the original story told from a different character’s point-of-view. So far, I’ve read 23 Austenesque novels the would be considered alternate POV stories, most of them from the hero’s point0-of-view.

This is my sixth Austenesque Top Ten list.  You can find my other Top Ten lists HERE.
