Hi friends!  I’ve been waiting for this day for a long time and I’m so happy it is here!  Today I am welcoming one of the kindest and most genuine people in the Jane Austen community to Austenesque Reviews – author J. Dawn King!  Not only is Joy a wonderfully kind and supportive writer – she is an extremely busy one!  I am forever 3 books behind her! #NotComplaining.  I am so happy Joy is paying us a visit today to talk about writing Austenesque stories in alternate settings!  One of my favorite kinds of Austenesque stories!

Where did July go?!?  I swear it lasted only 4 seconds!  Or at least, it felt that way.  We had a very eventful month here in the Bingley house!

For the first two weeks of the month we had a lovely family member from Colombia stay with us.  Jairo is married to one of Mr. Bingley’s cousins and wanted to spend some of his vacation days with us, and we were very happy to have him as our guest.  We enjoyed his company and felt like we all grew closer together during his visit! <3

We had a blast taking to Jairo to all our favorite restaurants, to the beach, and sharing with him the fun things we like to do around our town. Continue reading »

SYNOPSIS: Through her Uncle Gardiner, who has just recently returned from the Pacific Northwest, Jane Bennet receives a letter requesting marriage from an unknown Charles Bingley. Needing help with her reply, Jane turns to her sister Elizabeth who is happy to lend a hand.  But after several more exchanges Elizabeth finds herself more than charmed by Mr. Bingley’s correspondence. Oh no!
