Soak Up the Sun and Fun of Summer!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5 stars

Summer is my favorite time of year, I love warm weather and being in the water! I couldn’t think of a better way to start the summer season off than to read the summer-themed anthology in the Holidays with Jane series! There are six short stories in this anthology (one for each Jane Austen novel) and each story takes place in present-day. In this collection readers witness various summer activities such as traveling on a Caribbean cruise, attending sleep-away camp, and hanging out with friends home from college.

I hope you find this breakdown helpful! Continue reading »

Hi readers!  I’m so excited to welcome another author from the fabulous Holidays with Jane series to Austenesque Reviews today – Jennifer Becton!  In addition to the Holidays with Jane series, Jennifer Becton has published many wonderful stories about the minor characters of Pride and Prejudice in her Personages of Pride and Prejudice series.   Today Jennifer shares a little about a minor character from Emma!

Harriet Smith: A True Heroine

Thank you, Meredith, for inviting me to be here on behalf of Holidays with Jane, a series of six holiday-inspired, Jane Austen-themed story collections, and its writers. You have got to be kidding me…it’s November?!?  Already? Ack!

We had a very exciting October!  It started with Hurricane Matthew (which thankfully wasn’t as bad as predicted) and ended the month with a family wedding and mini-holiday to Vermont!  Which was a new state for Mr. Bingley and I to visit together!

The wedding took place in this charming village called Grafton and the inn is where all the events of the wedding took place and all the wedding guests could stay on site too.  It was so lovely!!!  Felt like we were in another time!
