Happy Monday, my friends! I am so excited to welcome author Elizabeth Adams to Austenesque Reviews today! I’ve been a longtime fan of Elizabeth Adams’s work and I have especially enjoyed catching up on her wonderful recent releases – Green Card and On Equal Ground – these past months. Elizabeth is here to celebrate her newest release, The 26th of November, which sounds like such an entertaining read since it seems Elizabeth is reliving the day of the Netherfield Ball in a Groundhog Day-like situation! We hope you enjoy this excerpt from The 26th of November!

“Lizzy, Mr. Collins would like to speak with you.” She shoved Elizabeth into the drawing room and closed the door quickly behind her.

Elizabeth looked around the empty room and flinched when she saw her cousin standing by the fireplace. She had forgotten this happened the day after the ball. Oh, well. She would just have to suffer through his insulting proposal and refuse him once again. Then she would think of something to prevent the Netherfield party from leaving the following day.

Mr. Collins began speaking, she knew not what of but it was clearly not a proposal yet. She caught the name of his noble patroness in his rambling speech and decided she would try her newfound talent for changing the course of events on her cousin. Continue reading »

Hi friends! I hope August is treating you well so far! As per usual, the months feel like they are flying by! And I don’t want them too!

July went especially fast for us! I think with the 4th of July and a couple of small trips we took (and working busily in between) we were so active that the month was over before we knew it!

Where did we go in July you ask?

Our first trip was a weekend in Asheville, NC. Mr. Bingley had a wedding to play for and we decided to make a weekend out of it. Mr. Bingley played at this gorgeous venue!

We did have some rain, but that made for some cool “misty mountain” moments.  Continue reading »
