Full of ardent admiration and love but not the talent of conversing easily, Mr. Darcy doesn’t always express himself well. And even though he is haughty, insulting, and in need of a proper humbling, Mr. Darcy is one of the most iconic and beloved romantic heroes of all time. Type of Story: Mansfield Park Inspired (Contemporary)

My Thoughts: I love the positive spotlight on Fanny Price and her admirable qualities. I thought the quiz motif was perfect and Blair’s reaction to her results and analyzation of herself and Fanny as a character profound and perceptive! Continue reading »

In addition, I love what summer represents – a time to go on holiday, to visit new places, to go somewhere scenic. I’m thrilled that Meryton Press, one of my favorite publishers, has published their first short-story anthology and that the theme of the anthology is summer romance. Since there are eight short-stories by eight different authors, I thought I’d briefly touch upon each story individually. I hope you find this breakdown helpful! Continue reading »
